Ok... seen lots of chit chat and people talking about them on different threads. If you've got a pic of your setup, please share. all good things, McD
these come up just above the side plastic and lower part of the radiator they have one upper and two lower mount points on each side + cross brace
Anybody know the diameter of the OEM crashbars? I want to see if my machinist buddies can fab some light brackets up before my bars come in. Thanks! -Rob
had a request for a photo showing a side view - here ya go: and here's a pic of the H-Bs on tedree's F650GS(twin):
do you have a front shot of your bike with the Givi like the shot of the Hepco Beckers at the start of this thread. cheers, McD
Just curious as to why no one is going with the TT bars? Do they seem weaker or uglier or what's the deal? I thought they made pretty tough stuff usually....
Availability, I'd be guessing. I waited months for mine before cancelling and going with the SW-Motech's. mal
My Adv-Spec bars arrive today! I am planning to install tomorrow. Will put pictures up (i have the Bash plate as well).
My Adventure Spec bars also arrive today. it took a month...but i am exited to get them fit this weekend
Adventure Specs Arrived and are installed...Note the Touratech skid plate and oil filter protector...I guess Adventure-Spec is saying if use their crash bar you have to get their skid plate as well. Since i already had this i figured i would experiment. It seems to work just fine.
Wondering has anyone used the SW Motech bars? And possibly have pictures of them installed with a frontal view? Thanks Mike
Installed my Wunderlichs earlier this evening. Somebody tell me about this if you know. They have Hebco-Becker logos on all the product info which came with the bars. Made by H-B for Wund? These were the only ones I saw so far which mounted so far back and also to the lower engine case. Install took a bit of push & pull to line up the holes then I saw it had hung up on the kickstand on that side which gave it just a bit of a skew, tossing it just off. The instructions guide you to do everything else first & come to those mounts last, so that is why I missed it till the end. No biggie though. Also added the rear fender hugger or whatever you call it from Wund also. This was a small challenge due to a couple of the screws being in such tight areas and the instructions being in everything but english. I'll try to get some daylight photos tomorrow.
Ok, seriously... I know this was an important topic to me and I've never got the right angle picture in any other post to be able to make a justifiable decision. So for those of you that have installed a pair please give us ever imaginable angle.... a simple side view does not provide the whole picture. Here is another thread that at least compiles some of the options. http://f800riders.org/HoW/showentry.php?e=30
How about a view from behind and right over the seat? I like these cause from the side they are not covering the original aesthetics of the bike.
Hi Need some opinion on which is preferred in terms of aesthetics and protection. Especially side panel/radiator and gear & brake levers on the 650 (twin). Choices available in South Africa limited to Wild@heart, Kappa(similar to Givi), SV Motech, Krauser. Regards Southeaster
