I decided to mix it up a bit with some aqua. I almost did green. You really can't go wrong with just about any color pinstriping...

Eh. It looks okay. I probably should have shot a white base first for a little more pop. In the end, it doesn't really matter since it will get scratched during use.

It was nice to fire up the airbrush. I hadn't used it in at least 7 years. I took it ouf of the box and it all came back like I stopped painting yesterday. I need to do more of this. My daughter was VERY interested in what I was doing. I'll pass what I know onto her and let her take off. :clap

It's too bad I sold my vinyl cutter. I used to cut lettering in a low-tack paint mask and then paint it. It really sped things up and allowed me to do top-notch work.

I'll probably keep it "no name" for now. :evil

aqua, takes me right back to the 80's and lowered trucks, you should do some dripping paint, or maybe a heartbeat line:D

ya know what i want? custom pannier order right here, basic panniers and get the airbrush out for some total legit WWII aircraft style panels and rivets. maybe nose art chick, oooh and maybe something to mark trails ive done like pilots shot down, ya know?:evil

ive always wanted to paint my bike silver with panels and rivets for a total WWII bomber look.

    You got it, Boss.

But it's got to be a really good title change. I won't waste electrons for a new title that is not worthy :pope

Now that he agrees, lets make it ROOKIE wanna-be welder starting to make some cool things. :D

I actually think it should remain rookie. it brings people to the thread and then motivate the hell out of them as they follow the progress. thats my 2 cents.

Damn, there is some nice work going on here for a bunch of rookies. Meanwhile I'm stuck in a small garage making fender ornaments and crap just to help pass the long winter. Here's one that's just about done...

Alright, disclaimer: I've striped lots of graphics and flames, but never tried this before and it shows.

When I did the airbrushing on the flames and said it's easy to overdo it? Here is a prime example. :D

Not terrible, but it doesn't knock my socks off, either. It was still fun, though! 3 paint projects down after a 7 year hiatus feels pretty darn good.
