I own a pair of these, but never used the intercom, only the phone/radio and GPS with bluetooth on two of my helmets, travelling only solo. That works well.

I now will go on a trip with the wife and want to use intercom. From helmet 1 to helmet 2 the communication works ok, but from helmet two to helmet 1 I only get noise, especially when touching the connector of the transmitting helmet.

But the microphone of the transmitting doesn't seem to be the problem, because when used for calls with the mobile phone it works well.

    Any ideas ?

Used the Midland units snowmobiling. Not real happy. Poor audio and really poor battery life. The battery life might be better on a motorcycle without the cold, but probably not enough to make these a great product.

    YMMV
