Looks like fun Frog! (except for the peeing blood part)
And KZJohn, as you know, the 5 you're in is a nice one. No peeing blood for you.

I'll be there as usual but have nothing planned other than heading south with my son, driving the Chevy to a remote spot, camping, watching the motos, grilling some carne asada, watching the fast cars, then cruising up to Laguna Hansen, camping again, and back across the Border early Sunday.

The 1st B.500 I raced was '85.... In the past 28 years I've raced it 23 times, got 7 Pro class wins, had a total of 35 of my bikes (in some way) entered, and only 3 DNF's.
This year not even a single hotel room and I'm really looking forward to it!

Another interesting race for the top Pro Teams.

This article made me sad I won't be going down for the first time in years. It also made me feel a bit relieved I'm not going. Check out the coments, some interesting points made about the effect the Sportsman class shortcut might have on many of the pro class teams.

Wow what a sad read, I figured this bad news was coming for the Sportsman class, on the flip side I'm glad I got my 1000 Solo done in 2010 this makes it even more special now.

I don't think it's sad, just different. Change is hard, sometimes it goes in the wrong direction. SCORE was in need of some change, let's just hope it is for the better.

I talked to him on the phone yesterday. I think he had an interesting start on the weekend, can't wait to hear his stories from last night.

Strong Bad called it a while back, something like "the sportsman bikes were
F-cked" it looks like that statement is coming true

I have said all a long.
If you want to Race in the BIG EVENTS like SOCRE, Pay your dues
and step up and ride PRO!!!!
I also think that Score should start an PRO Ironman Class
If you are a True Sportsman there are other events thet you can enjoy Baja and be a lot safer
The Sportsman class was just a cash grab by Sal Fish and Put racers in Harms way.
    This is JMO.

It has been a very interesting trip so far. These guys know their truck and are fast but suck at logistics. Driving down I had to help find a place to stay because they hadnt yet. They also wanted to drive through tj at midnight and head to ensenada without a place to stay. I said fuck no multiple times and they finally listened.

Its been interesting to say the least.

No. They finally listened and we stayed in the US that night then got a place in ensenada.

    Thanks for the help though.
