This thread will be dedicated to my adventures close to home. Most of these photos are going to be from my phone and are shared on Instagram or Facebook. So I wanted to make sure I get to share them with you all on ADV rider. I am from the Ozarks so most of my day travels will be there within. Crack open a cold one and enjoy. This one was from today, just trying to get lost with my buddy Steven on his KLR650. We got into some spicy stuff. This was also today near Branson Creek. Melva, MO, which was once a town that was destroyed by a tornado. The citizens that were left, moved to what is now Hollister, MO. There are still some old structures in the area. This was a tunnel built under railroad tracks that the Branson Scenic Railway runs on that is near the old forgot town. This one reminds me of Steven King's "IT" They alllll float down here....... While I was taking a picture of my buddy, I noticed a Cottonmouth not to far from me. After the swamp and the scary clown we made for some higher ground to finish out the day.
This was just a quick video edit of a short ride we went on over the weekend. I havent got to edit a movie in a while because I have been busy with school. If you can believe it I have 27 days worth of TAT footage that I need to start editing. Outside the Shade
Along on ride on the TMOT we stumbled upon this little Chuck wagon rodeo that was going on. Some one else's ride. <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/100295113@N05/14286711934" title="DSC_0003 by Nathan King, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2925/14286711934_fb303a138d.jpg" width="331" height="500" alt="DSC_0003"></a> She was trying to get a free drink. <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/100295113@N05/14100670127" title="DSC_0012 by Nathan King, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3677/14100670127_c198ff11dc_z.jpg" width="640" height="424" alt="DSC_0012"></a> Earning money the hard way. <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/100295113@N05/14100544419" title="DSC_0204 by Nathan King, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2937/14100544419_9899091091_z.jpg" width="640" height="424" alt="DSC_0204"></a>
Seems like we might be going to this secret spot a lot this summer. My buddy has his "base camp" set up out there. <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/100295113@N05/14334717815" title="DSC_0138 by Nathan King, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3870/14334717815_c852590105_z.jpg" width="424" height="640" alt="DSC_0138"></a> <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/100295113@N05/14354918423" title="DSC_0151 by Nathan King, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2913/14354918423_556df2f561_z.jpg" width="424" height="640" alt="DSC_0151"></a> <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/100295113@N05/14148108760" title="DSC_0152 by Nathan King, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3846/14148108760_b842c40ded_z.jpg" width="640" height="424" alt="DSC_0152"></a>

Neat area to ride for sure. My grandparents lived up on the hill outside Reeds Spring. Spent MANY hours riding many different things in the hollers and hills of Stone county growing older...not up. Our swimming hole was Big Rock on Bull Creek....pretty sure you know where that is! Don't get there often now that everyone has passed....but when I do, the changes to the area are mind blowing. One of our favorite rides was from the old lookout tower outside Reeds Spring, somehow crossing Roark Creek after the old RR tunnel, then on up to 76 by the entrance to SDC....I think there is a golf course now....
I know what you mean to all the changes. I have lived here since 1991. Big Rock is no more unfortunately. I use to go there as a kid, but the partiers and a few accidents have made the owners of the property close the area.
