    I have a line on a fcr40 off a Honda 450r quad.
It is just the carb so what will I need to do to make it work on a 98 620rxc w/ stock exhaust.

Call Sudco. They can tell you what year carbs off of what model bikes will fit the LC4 mill, as well as what you will need to make it fit.

    Thanks NICO,

Called & talked to John, he said that he couldn't tell me if the carb would work or not but to be careful buying FCRs because if the o-rings in the jet block are bad then you just throw the carb away as they cannot be replaced.

He did offer me a complete carb kit for $589.00.
Unfortunately my limited (read non-existent) bike budget will not allow that and I'm desperate to replace the e-brock.

the carb off of the quad has a different upper body .i tried it after doing several conversions to the fcr on 620s.it will not fit into the frame rails...do not buy the quad carb..the motorcycle versions are fine.and i could walk you thru it..jetting and installation..

    Whew!

Glad I checked back. Thanks bergdaddy
As soon as I find one I can afford I get back with you.

I'm new to KTM and I love my 620, but I'd love it more if it would run right consistently.

Yes, I have one on my '97 620 RXC. Probably the best improvement I've made to the bike. :thumb I would have liked the FCR but it was not in my budget. Still got a huge increase in HP and torque and way better throttle response. Bought it from Carburetor Parts Warehouse.

It's a TM40 pumper. Make sure you get a pumper because the TM40 is also available as a non-pumper. I'll see if I can't find the original recipt.

OK, I'm proud to report i found an FCR and I've almost finished installing it.
So far my biggest problem is that I've run into is that the throttle return isn't returning.

I've redone the routing and checked everything I can think of and no luck.
    Any advice?

Take a look at the cables on the throttle cam , make sure you have wound them properly , they are a real pia to get right.

OK, I finally figured it out.
The cables I am using came off a 03 crf450 and the return had a little less travel causing it to bind up.
I took about a half inch off the cable sheath of the return cable and that seems to have done the trick.
Thanks everybody for the all the help.
I'm new to all of this and can use all the advice I can get.
