Bike Week starts March 8th. May want to avoid those 2 weekends (if you want to see The King of all manfu ). How about a little BQF history? Can't remember the first, was it Sinners ride?
I believe it had to do something with that loudmouth Happy pissing off the all the campers within a half mile after he had too many of those green beers. Oh yea, those 2 idiots that went for a night ride after quiet time probably didn't help the situation either. As for the dates, how about something in February?
March 1st-5th I'm already booked. I wouldn't count on me attending enough to work dates around my schedule though. I am planning a trip to Oregon as I type this. Miami 1/23-28. North Cali right after. Then Tampa, Dallas to put on training classes before OR, WA... that's just for Q1
I agree. I'm off the first two weekends in Feb and the last. The last may be too close to Bike Week for some. I'm IN tentatively
What the hell is a BQF? It seems to me like we ride our bikes somewere remote, but not remote enough to be able to drink and get loud. So the challenge of this ride is to not ride and drink as much as possible without getting loud. I've never met a quiet drunk so I DO see the challenge...and I accept! am I close?
IIRC it started as a weekend rally that got a bit loud, with the local ranger coming out several times to tell the animated participants to "Be Quiet". In memory of that event we make a yearly pilgrimage and attempt to drown our motorcycles or choke them with mud. Recently we've reserved a more private campground area that has no ranger, but does have hot showers. Win some lose some Hope that helps.
That was me after I hit the first water puddle a bit fast. I can confirm the KLR will pull two full grown men and a husaberg with front and rear wheels locked up to about 40mph:huh It's a tractor
