My speedo is acting up and not working properly, the needle floats around reading mostly lower than actual and the miles are not accumulating.

I have read about changing bad gears on the odo, but does that also fix the speedo needle floating?

Am I better off sending this out and if so to who would be best? Any inmates fix em?

These are two different problems. The odo problem is common to these gauges, but something else is going on with the needle - and can't guess at that one without seeing it.

These speedometers are actually two siamesed gauges - a speedometer and odometer packaged in one container. The odometer is gear driven off of the input shaft to the speedometer.

PM me if you're interested in having it repaired.

Ah HAH! so that's why you're always kicking me around! :)
