    I had heard 3000 (roughly) made total, but no idea on imported into America.

    It wasn't answered in any of the other half dozen or so threads which were started on the topic, so maybe 7's a charm :lol3

    And what do you mean by "not enough" woodchuckexc? There always seems to be 1 or 2 available in the FM, so it seems KTM imported just enough. The real mystery is why it wasn't so popular. And mystery #2 is why used HP2s command such a much higher premium than SEs.

    My take on the popularity.... when they first came out I went to the dealer and my thought was ,,,, that is the stupidest "dirt" bike in the world. I resisted the offers to ride one because I just didn't think a big v twin dirt bike made sense. Once I actually did ride one I understood!! I couldn't believe how well the bike worked on the trails and rough.

    As for mystery #2, the HP had a higher MSRP by $7K, might have a little to do with the higher prices today...

    I'm glad I got mine,grin:D every time I twist that wrist what a ride...someone's gotta know how many SE's imported to the US really like to know for sure.
