Ok Guys, here is the best in the area. This includes the famous Witt Road, the Singletrack trail 82, Ditney Mountain Road, Smith Mountain Road, Oswald Dome Loop,Finger Board Road, & Old Furance Road. This is the best loop I can come up with, and now includes the singletrack trail 82. This also has the waypoint of the singletrack trail 81 in it, but I haven't rode it yet to have the tracks. The Northern trail head of 81 is at N35 10.001 W84 23.920. Also included are nearby Points of Intrest that I include in all my track files. This track is 118 miles from Start to Finish. And is the best riding in the area. I put the track data in 2 track files, to keep them under 500 points (garmin limitation). Hope you guys enjoy! I'll post some pics from this route also in the 2nd msg.

I think I rode through some of the area today. I can't get the file to open. Any suggestions? Is this in the HWY 68 area. I remember passing Unicoi Mtn. We took Towee Creek from Reliance to 68, then up toward's Wauchessie and Bald River and down to the Tellico River. Just curious if I'm in the ballpark.

This route is near 68, starts on Witt Road, and follows it to the singletrack off Joebrown, then up to buck bald and and down, then Ditney/smith moutain, Lost creek, to reliance, then up Towee back to 68.

The file is standard .GPX, and should open with Mapsource, or any other .GPX compatible software (mapsend, etc.)

Thanks for the info, I tried Mapsource last night. I'll try again. If not I can alway's break out my maps. Looks like I've been all over it and probably done some. I usually take Joe Brown to Beaverdam and over to Tellico through the ORV park. Speaking of which, I saw last week in the paper where some conservation groups are suing the Forest Service to get the ORV Park closed. Since I can remember fishing the Tellico before silt took over, I have some serious mixed emotions about that one. I will say that it's funny nobody relates the clearcutting to the silt. Only the ORV Park. I also remember riding dirt bikes up there before the Crawlers tore everything up. Sorry for getting off the subject. Thanks again for the info.

Thanks Tom.. I'm not sure I'm going to go on the Sylva Ride now. I would like to, but my income situation is sligthly offtrack right now, so I can't really afford it. But I may still try to find a way to make it work. But my riding buddy, Thumpalong, is definately going. He's got a motel room booked already. I got some good pics coming from today's ride, that I'll be posting shortly.. I'll send ya link after I post em. take care..

Sure shoot me an email. I don't have anyone to ride regular with in Tellico. Got alot of cool trails i'd like to explore further but don't like riding alone. And my wife is rather new, so she's not capable of riding anything too dificult. So you are from Tellico? what bike do you have? shoot me an email.

I recently did another ride over there, posted a ride report here,

    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=248869

Much of it was on this same route.

I live on Rafter Rd, about 6 miles out of town. I've got a HP2 with 10K miles on the road and about 20 miles off road. Oh, & the Thruxton. There seems to be twice as many unpaved roads around here as paved. Time to put the off road rims back on the bike & go explore. My email is tellicomoto@mac.com

I made a slight update to this file. Re-did the tracks, and made them more smoother. And made a map of the track.

Sweet! Just what I'm looking for.
Two 250's will be there in the Tellico Plains area next month, camping at Hunt's Lodge in TP.
This will be a test trip for the Sherpa which recently joined the barn, and in preparation for next year's TAT ride.

I'm returning to dirt after a few decades off (logging roads/trails in Maine) so it will be a progressive refresher for me, too.

Any suggestions on roads you have will be welcome.

Thats a real good route already.. Tho Witt Road maybe closed .. It was a month or so back.. not sure why, they were clearing some trees.. It may be open now. Even if it is closed, it still be worth it to go down to the closed part, as you get to go thru all the creek crossings before you get to the closed part. Its probably reopened by now.

I posted some area Gravel Roads/dirt roads in another .gpx orginally on TnAdvriders.com at this link,

    http://www.smokymountainriders.com/viewtopic.php?t=537

I'll reatach the gpx here also..
