    When: April 22-24
    Where: Bentonville low water bridge

Camping at Low Water Bridge campground in Bentonville. The campground has picnic tables, fire rings w/grill tops, potable water, flush toilets, and hot showers. $8/person per night. Old Man River has offered to supply all equipment and shuttle. Shuttle will pick us up from the campground and take up upstream 12 miles for the float back to camp. Sunday, anyone that wants another day on the river can float from camp 11.5 miles downstream and Old Man River will shuttle us back to camp. So pack your tent, ride your bike to Bentonville and bring eight bucks, sixteen if you're in for two nights.

That would be pretty cool! Put in at Port Republic, camp at Blooch's, take out the second day near Shen Outfitters...

You better have an out board on that canoe. :evil That's a LONG ways.
IF, I repeat IF Blooch let people camp at his place Island ford would be a more realistic distance to cover the first day and if people are fishing heavily Elkton would be better yet.
The second day the boat landing at Grove Hill(North of Shenandoah) would be a good canoeing distance, Shenandoah for fishing. Remember, there are a couple miles of flat water upstream of the dam at Shenandoah...

I dunno, I like to paddle :huh
I think really it depends on the time of year, i.e., how high the water. Late Spring is quicker than late Summer :lol3
PR to Blooch's probably would be a long-a$$ day! Island Ford would be much less demanding. I seem to remember IF to Elkton being 4hr. Is there an access to put in around mid-way between IF and PR? Second day should be able to make Alma if we get going in the am, and move the vehicles to the take out on camping night. :dunno

    And don't drink too much...

    Geeze :rolleyes

Why not just ask Blooch if you can use his field for two days and just forget the extra hassle of moving canoes around? :deal

Work out the plan and let me know. I have an idea that will allow everyone to ride to the camp spot, be picked up by a shuttle, taken to the river, picked up the following day a brought back to the camp. If the trip is during the week, you will not need to bring your own equipment, I will provide all the canoes, kayaks, paddles and vests. Oh .... And the shuttle service. Best of both worlds, riding and paddling! Just let me know.

Depending on how early in the season this takes place, I may be able to work it out on the weekend as well. For a weekend trip, we should consider April or very early May.

Very nice; that just sounds too easy for the participants :lol3 but in this case would you be able to join the paddling fun with us?
And the million-dollar question, of course, is what payment would be for such accommodating service? :huh :shog

For all you ADV FF's, I wouldn't charge a thing - that is why we need to do it in the early part of my season - and yes, I hopefully would be able to join in the fun.

Maybe this way the event will actually take place :rofl

Plus everyone gets to ride to the event and not have to load boats on to cages!!!

Based on the Scott P timeline it looks good for me on May 6 - 8. It would be even better for me anytime in April.

I can be flexable on the dates for the availability of equipment, it's the shuttle drivers that I need to coordinate and have available. We may need to put Bwalsh back in a shuttle bus!!! :clap

I've been wanting to get into kayaking, but OMR's idea sounds great considering I probably won't have a boat in time for this.

I'm in as long as my schedule is ok with it.

Looks like old man river has the ball now. Sound like he has a painless plan. I have an extra tandem canoe and a couple sit on tops if anyone needs them this summer put in in elkton an out at cabin. Use of ford f- teen thousand for shuttle is authorized.
Camping is a go here too. May 13-15 is not good for us. But don't let that stop you.
