I think I heard a "you bet'cha" in there at the 6:57 mark I'm from North Dakota and I say that once in a while and find it funny when I hear someone else say it.
Looks like you're enjoying the 690!

Scott, thanks for taking me on that ride. It was just what I needed this morning.

I had to wait until this morning to view this video.
Dang, I love me some Barlow Road. I really enjoy watching the video and recognizing the locations by the look of the trees or a rock or a turn. What I like best about Barlow is that 25-30 MPH is FLYING fast, 35 MPH seems like light speed, and it looks like it on the video. What seemed fairly tame on Still Creek's gravel at 35, was bouncy and action packed on Barlow at 25.
Nice 690, Scott, congrats ahoy !!! Will that WR that weighs about the same ever get ridden again? What about the adventurous KLR? Seems that they've been overshadowed by the new hot girl in the stable. I've seen some nice bag setups for the 690 (Rally Raid racks look tough with Mosko-Moto bags).
See y'all at Forest Creek CG next May/June?

On the other hand, if it has been logged or mined and roads already exist,,

To make the 690 deal required me selling the WR which is about a day or so away from being put in the Flea Market. I have a set of the Wolfman Rocky Mountain panniers that I'll use on the 690 and found a used Touratech Rack for it as well. It won't have the range of the WR250, but will "make better use" of those miles than the 250 ;)
I got the KLR setup for Commuting and "Utility" riding and it gets ridden most days, so it actually sees more "use" than my other bikes, but I think this 690 is going to get more "smiles". I tend to kit my bikes out a bit too much so I don't see ever selling the KLR, so might as well use it as a daily rider.
