    I agree - we need to filter the 'fanboy' drivel out of Orange Crush.

    Can I propose a different model for the forum split?

    Orange Crush:

    --> LC8: 950, 990, 1190
    --> Tancakar and his 1190

    Pointless :rofl

    Agree a split would be good, it is time given the new models (see G Spot as noted earlier), not making a "them and us's" just making discussion and help easier IMO.

    Technology and models change and if the forum can accommodate and move with this I think everyone would be better off long term.:clap

    Mods say no to split, but then there is this Tancakar with his 1190. It's the ultimate battle of wits, of integrity, of existence, hard to say witch one will prevail.

    Stay tuned.

    My highly organized German half says split. For example, when the new generation KTM 450 motor came out KTMtalk split the forum into RFS and XC4. That worked quite well.

    Of course my rip roaring Irish half says lets fight about it and the last man standing decides.:freaky

    Anyway, my point is I have notice, over time, that the Orange crush forum has changed in character. When the 950’s were the new big bike the forum was filled with ideas, new discussions and passion. As time has gone by many the original posters have dropped away. Probably do to the repeated questions that have already been discussed and solutions found. “They lost that lovin feelin.” :cryThe forum is not the same as it was.

    Now, when new guys show up they risk being broiled in the flame if they haven't done their research. Fair enough, but its kind of like showing up to the gold strike late.

    Now the 1190 will be the new girl and inspire fresh discussions and a rebirth of the old passions will come forth. Spontaneity will return. New problems and solutions found on the fly.

    I know this is not decided yet...I think, and a split would be a natural evolution to this forum. The 950/990 will still be the original cool awesome forum and give the new generation it's rightful place in the sun. Come on guys do it, split is good.:clap

    Respectfully, KJ

    Once, when I was younger and at geology field camp our cook would mix powdered cheese into the scrambled eggs each morning. Tasted like shit!

    The second week I spoke up at breakfast and before long I had the whole crew chanting no cheese, no cheese, no cheese. The next day… no cheese and matter of fact no cheese from then on.

    It is only a matter of time before the split.

    When I was younger, I yelled "no cheese" and my Dad got up and smacked me around the ears.

    At that very point, I realised its best to not yell out "no cheese".

    Sorry Mate, I never would have brought up the cheesy story if I knew that it would bring up latent memories of your childhood abuse, my bad.

    As I recall several pages ago you announced the decision had been made to leave OC as it is. So I'm thinking there is a message in your " no cheese" disclosure.

    I understand that the mods decided to ignore the majority of posters here, yet I think that a split would be a good idea. But many of the reasons expressed here surprise me. The issues we face between the 1190 and th 950-90 are different, but we all face issues. But we also have fun with our bikes and looking at the reports here, that kind of fun seems to re-unite 1190 and 9x0. Is it really about crushing coffee beans with teeth vs filter coffee, candles vs headlamp, freshly skinned sheep skin vs merino wool undies ?? I'm sure that in a near future you may even see 1190 and 9x0 smile at each other (do 9x0 riders smile ?) and have a drink or two together.
