Should'nt be too bad for a motard, but all the flexing you can feel in the Xr kinda hides a lot of what the tires are doing, if it were a sport bike or a real purpose built motard it would be a totally different case more than likely.

some progress
a little slow progress, but I had to spend some time working on my ol' truck in the background as well as on the bike. But I did fab up my bolt in battery tray. I'm not sure if I'm going to make some side filler panels yet, I'm going to see how it goes. also got the front fender mounted up and I'm working on the seat as well. If anyone has used a pod on the factory carb, I would love some insight on the jetting. I know I have a "custom" exhaust, but a baseline would be great.

some assembly completed
I was able to get my tires mounted today. I have the frame dressed up, and I started working on shortening the wire harness since to battery is in a new place. next week if all goes well I'll have time to go through the front forks and have her back on her own 2 wheels.

It's alive!!!
started her up today for the first time since I got her. she sounds AWSOME with the twin cans. I need to fab up a couple more things and service her and she will be ready to go. can't wait to hit the street
with any luck the jetting wont be to far off

Nice job! If I were to do the dual exhaust with my XRL and ride dirt still, clearance would be a concern? You wouldn't want to replicate that "Y" fitting and sell it to me?

Nice Job.
Personally I would be more prone to run it without the shrouds....those factory Honda wings have always looked like an abortion to me.....not to pic on your bike, I like what you have done.
