Hee hee - I did the same thing, but watched it all the way through - it's not often an hour of helmet cam footage is watchable, but this really was!

I have to say, having ridden those dunes myself, I had my heart in my mouth a lot of the time - especially as Pyn had given us a spoiler alert about the crash towards the end...

Sure enough, when it comes, you know how it's going to end!

In contrast to Pyn's video, watching Francesco Tarricone's helmet cam, it's interesting to see all of the casualties of the dunes in the back of the pack.

you'd really enjoy it Tony, its a tough event technically in the terrain and also the navigation is tough which is a welcome, plus well organised

8 thumbs up from me !

Yeah yeah, steady on! Once I can reenter my garage without having to wear a full winter outfit, I'll get to it!
Garry, that's exactly the impression I got, Edo did his homework :nod

Ben that date is the NPO Oilibya Rallye du Maroc, not Merzouga Rally, Merzouga will be after it, I guess late Oct.

Coolio! Let'S hope this works out for both of us. I should be more flexible then with time to prep, build and train
Was just about to say, should be around 20.10.

    Sh#t your right! Thanks Gazza.

Might be NPO Oilibya Rallye I'll be doing as it works best for these dates for me.

Which Rallye did you enjoy more Garry?

both r good, but Merzouga is the pick of them, much more bike & SXS focussed..............so more challenging terrain & nav, plus its cheaper

Ha... my extensive racing resume (:lol3) includes a sum total of ONE desert race but it was a large Le Mans start in Odessa, WA. Pyndon's video really brought it back... until he hit the dunes 15 seconds later :evil

Man those bikes are working hard in the dunes.

Pretty cool that he was directly next to Pyndon!
