Alright - I'M IN!!

Finally, been wanting to do the Tuareg for a few years now. Will probably ride my Husaberg or XC-F/RFS hybrid.

Would be cool to team up with some other ADVriders. How are you all dealing with support, tent vs. hotel rooms, etc? I am probably trailering down myself since Genua is not far from Austria, so I could bring tools and spares.

At the moment theres 4 of us in team Brown, we will be flying into Tunisa and meeting our service team at the start, Hotel rooms all week for us.
If you're driving to the start we may be able to carry your spares and bags, but I'll have to check with the others, if we get any more riders then we'll be full.

I've got a big score to settle with this rally after crashing out of the lead this year.

It's gonna be really great to meet some of you guys!

It is a pretty bleak day for me today. I had a crash in a race just about a week ago and injured my knee. It didn't seem too bad at the time but I just got back from seeing the doctor and reviewing the MRI. I did some rather serious mangling of various tendons and it is going to require surgery then probably 9 months before I can be racing again. With the Tuareg being only about 6 months away this means I am out.

Hate to hear this news Doug. You've got YEARS of riding and racing ahead though so heal up right and we'll see you back on trail!! You've inspired a lot of folks already and we're still rooting for you!

The only drawback I can see is that this one would have looked sweet on the resume submitted for Dakar in '15

Awwww shit Doug.....I hate to hear this. I know you can't race for 9 months, but what about just riding??? By the way, Docs can be wrong. Look into alternative stuff, and see if you can get back into it before the 9 months. I believe it's possible. So, ACL torn, meniscus tear?
