got hooked here by ride reports, thought i'd try one........so this is my first rr, couldn't resist saying that cause everybody does

i've been in memphis alittle while now and keep hearing about nw arkansaw hills, so it was time to check em out

sat left work about 3 packed the bike and here we go



the pyrimid leaving town, looking for cruves




crossing the mighty mississippi, old black sabath playing on the old sony walkman

stop in west memphis, ironbut gas stop, card in gas in, gooo

"they'res cruves in them there hills"



east ark, no hills yet




hot & pink floyds playing 50 - 70 miles in and i'm thinking how glad i am to have the walkman when i stretch and watch it go flying behind me:eek1

go back it's flat

don't know why i didn't take a picture

gas stop in black rock (makes me think of black oak arkansaw don't know why)

see a doller store and new tunes



6$ bucks and it's about the same uglyass easter egg color as the bike, i'm set

so i go tru hardy and see signs that say bike rally, let's see what this is all about, pull into a valley with a river going tru it. Stop at the gate and ask the guy there what's going on in there. Well the wet tshirt contest just started:huh ok i'm in

planned to sleep in woke up around 7 it was allready hot,

veiw from the tent, saw some brim swimming around but wanted to get some wind moveing so no fishing this morning


had a good breakfast in hardy, don't remember the name of the place but it was packed

headed out and saw welcome to missouri sigh

headed back to the flatlands and home




heading back at a gas stop got a message from land he was heading west and should be in memphis tonight




when i left for work he was still deciding between texas and colorado


i'm jealous

It had to be a hot ride leaving at 3 in the afternoon. I'm in Memphis 5 nights a week and it's usuelly hotter than Huntsville or Atlanta. I rode through Arkansas a long time ago and after passing through Memphis it seemed to take forever to get through the flatlands and find some curves.

definitly hotter than atl, i'm learning. ya know they'res a adv dinner every thrus in memphis don't cya

if ya get the chance stop in they do a biker breakfast on sat mornings, they might be 2 bikes there and they're might be 40???

starting with alittle trip to bikeweek with my dad

not a good start



the great state of ga was having a motorcycle saftey check (when they going to have a ford, camery, pickup etc....saftey check) Saw a flashing sign saying mc saftey check at a weight station next sign was off, weight stations sign said closed so we blew right on by and saw these guys pulling out so we pulled over. 4 cars in chase:eek1 they checked our linsece and insurance, and send us on our way. nice enough officers but still don't know what the saftey part was??

rain followed us all the to daytona we got there afterdark went to the ironhorse, snack shack and hooked up with friends at the bank on main
