KC area Photo Tag

RULES UPDATE 9/29/13: From October 1 to March 31 we will have a WINTER ZONE. Tags must be within 50 miles of DOWNTOWN KANSAS CITY, MO during that time.

The rest of the year will be as before, 150 mile from DOWNTOWN, KANSAS CITY, MO.


UPDATED RULES 10/31/12 Shrank the playing size by 100 mile. New limit 150 miles of KC.

The "Central USA Photo Tag" has started up North and should stay there. I have talked to a number of ADV riders and they all want to start another one in the Kansas City area.

The rules (the first 3 cut and pasted from "Central USA Photo Tag"):

1. Take a photo of your bike near a landmark, sign, etc... You can include some clues with the photo.

2. Ride to that location and take a picture of your bike there. The first person to tag the location with a photo gets to put up the next photo of their bike at another location.

3. If no one is getting the location, you can give more and more clues, but can't give out the actual location. Saying what the location is without a picture of your bike there is just not cool.

4. The photo is limited to 150 miles from KC.



The Tag photo does not need to be current ... since some of you may have passed that way before.

I'll start the game off with my tag from the "Central USA Photo Tag" and post a new picture to be tagged.

Fun, too bad I will recognize a lot of the KC area and no longer there to participate. If I gets to my area I will do my best to represent.

I'm making this to easy

for those of us fairly new to the KC area (2+ years now)...can we give a location (coordinates or address) after it's been tagged? I'd like to visit some of these

Give it time for someone to ride out there.

I'm in the same boat. Moved up 12/04, but go north of 150 hwy only when forced.


Sounds like a fun game though. Winter to boot.

Here is some information on Teter Rock. http://www.kansasphototour.com/teter.htm Teter Rock is a great destination to ride. Once there cruse the gravel roads and have fun. It is some of the prettiest area of KS that few know about.

The Central TAG game will stay the entire Central area as it has been a great way to connect and meet others on the forum.

So, theoretically speaking, we could end up with both tags in the MO/KS region.

You know, that is if those northerners get off their kiesters and tag someplace.

I have had a DL650 for about 3 weeks now... Love it! Its the 6th bike ive ever owned and its just too great!!! Im a senior at KU and once I graduate im going on a 14 day trip one the Wee and gonna love it!!! Rock Chalk!!!
