    Accomodations:

Same Rate as last year..with the exeption of the hotel rate on the weekend.
Do Not Call for Campground Reservations until March 1st

    CAMPGROUND:

Call the campground and reserve your site..I didn't block any particular sites this year in the interest of freedom of choice.. Myself and my crew will be at sites 54,58,56 and 60. All the Sites have Electricity and Water and are 20.00 per night/per site. These sites are normally 25-30.00 a night..so we all got a deal. You can fit two tents per site so go about that as you wish. There is a map of the campground..but don't reserve online. If you need a RV site with Sewer..they will put you away from the group..but it's still 20.00 not that many of you will need that..but hey.
    CAMPGROUND RESERVATIONS: CALL 1 (715) 479-9124
    HOTEL RESERVATIONS ONLY: CALL 1 (715) 479-4900

    HOTEL:
    www.settleinneagleriver.com

This is a very nice place. Just a short walk through the woods from the campground. Richard has given us a discount, a very nice one and rooms are only $69.00 night weeknight and $89.00 Friday and Saturday. All the rooms have big, flat screen tv's, feather beds, 24 hour pool, swim up bar..I know most don't care..but if you want it it's there for you. PLEASE CALL THE HOTEL EARLY TO MAKE RESERVATIONS..TELL THEM YOU ARE WITH THE ADV CENTRAL RALLY TO GET THE RATE: CALL 715-479-4900.

    Alternate Lodging:

The wild Eagle Lodge has blocked a group of 2 bedroom suites for us. Beautiful Resort on the lake..great for relaxing after a hard day riding. The Rooms consist of one King size bed, two double beds and a pull out sleeper..so you could sleep at least four people. The site is located less than a half mile from the Rally site. Rooms are 189.00 down from 379.00. Please mention Central Rally for your discount rate. Our contact there is Tammy. Their Website is http://www.wildeaglelodge.com/ and phone: 877.945.3965

The Hiawatha Motor Lodge, closer yet at a bout a 1/4 mile (walking distance) is giving us a room rate of 59.00 a night. Mention the Central ADV rally for your rate. Call: 715-479-4442 or check their website at http://www.hiawathamotorinn.com/

We have started a campsite sharing thread on the ADVrider annual rallies thread if you want to share a site with someone.

So people ask: "Why a whole week" ..here's the skinny: There's a bloody ton of riding to be done up here..not to mention it's just a really nice place to hang out and play/explore/eat/drink/etc.. So alot of people come from far away and it's hard to pack up and travel for only one or two nights of hanging out. This way..there will be at least 5 of us there the whole week..to help/guide whatever..so come for a few days extra and see more..relax more. I for one am looking forward to the extra days..it's alot of work..I love doing it..but I wanna kick back too..this way..I can ride more with friends and friends can chill for more than one night. I doubt we will have 3 barrels tapped every night..but for sure one (early stages..no holding me to these words please)..but a very large campfire a few feet from a bunch of bikes full of fuel precariously leaning in grass on their kickstands gets me going :D

It wont'..you guys do that on the last weekend of Sept..that's usually the Big Woods 200..and I wouldn't want to conflict with that great event..cause I wanna be riding there as do alot of the 'regulars' at the Rally:deal :D

    Well lets see...

No matter what i'm in. But i was hoping for a bit more color in the tree's, and slightly cooler temps. (and i was in "The Porky's" where there wasnt alot of change even compared to Eagle River)... It was a "bit" warm for some people but this years weather is whacked.

So i am going one week later than this year. Cooler riding is way more enjoyable for most people.

    See you FF's there.:ricky

I'm listening to you're later comments..but be very careful what you ask for...It can be in the 30's at night and the 40's in the daytime in September up there..going later is pushing it..and pushing well into hunting season and I DONT wanna piss off a bunch of hunters into some sort of no-non-Auto in the woods referendum..I talked to the sheriff today and we had NO reports of motorcycle incidents in Vilas County over the weekend..they didn't even know we were there..but a shitload of bikes roaring through the woods before dark in late september would bring out a bit of talk..???

50 in the day and 30 at night is perfect camping weather...so if the weather gods don't smile upon us, I would just add extra layers and take smaller riding loops.

August works better for those riders that have little kidlets at home....they're not in school yet, so we can just lock 'em in 'da closet with a dish of water and leave for a couple of days!

If'n school has started, then 'da teachers wonder where 'da little rugrats are at......

    :evil

....plus, there's more daylight in August, so more riding time!

I thought the wife was gonna strangle me when she rolled in with the youngsters Friday night. I started dumping beer in her head and she settled down a bit.

Well, as long as it's not the dells rally.

And I suppose not having hunters shooting at us would be good also.
