I am camping in April in a tent and I would love to see pictures of how everyone sets up thier sites. I need ideas.... because I'm clueless.

Go to Search at the top of your screen. Lots of posts if you search by "camp", "camping", "tent", etc. There are some threads hundreds of pages long.,..and most have photos in them!

Heres just one thread with 337 current pages to it, with lots of photos to look at: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=237723

A few from my last few times out this past month. (Camped every week in April, once was in the 4x4 though).

    Down in the Ochocos.

Pro-tip: Don't park the bike this close to the tent. I moved it later on. If a bear wanders through and knocks it over in either direction it should be out of falling on you in your sleep range. :lol3

(All that firewood I hauled in the night before in the pickup, I cheated on this one as I just wanted to bike camp a certain spot close to home)

I never have the luxury of a picnic table. Got this thing where I refuse to camp near other people (unless it's a group I'm with), so I tend to never use actual campgrounds. If they ever ban dispersed camping. I'll probably stop camping...... (Or just find even more hidden away spots because it's an addiction at this point. :D )

No roaring fire but other amenities to help relax at the end of the day. Taken around Durango.

here my RIIIT > the gear sack on the pillion seat contains the swag, air mattress, air pillow, sleeping bag, fitted single bed sheet, blanket, a 3m x 3m tarp with 4 adjustable poles, a ground sheet for a decent sized footprint, & a folding stool: the RIIIT is a wonderful highway bike for getting out there

There's a "lets see your bike by your tent" thread up in the Photo's forum.

Maybe merge this one with it.....

Don't set up your tent in a low spot. If is hot out, set up in shade. If it's windy, set up behind a wind block. Don't set it up too close to the fire. Do not set up your tent under dead trees or trees with large dead branches.

So much of a setup depends on where you are at, the specific location you choose, and weather. Do you need some trees in specific layout for hammock or tarp? Are there any trees at all?

The basic is to not set the tent up in a rain runoff zone. These can be difficult to figure out sometimes. Waking up to a wet tent floor teaches this lesson all too well :)

Setting up under trees. I usually do not like to. Dripping sap on the tent. Pinecones and twigs falling on the tent all night. But, in a downpour it is a good place as it shelters from the more severe part of the rain.

Shade? Most of the time yes, but, in colder climates it is nice to have sun on the site. I do like to set up the tent so the 'door' is facing east. That way the sun shines in the tent when it comes up (which is usually when I get up).

But.....in developed campgrounds you may not have a choice. Set up the tent on the pad. Put tarp so it covers either tent or table or sitting area, your choice.

Campfires. I don't use them, but, if you do, make sure tent and tarp are far enough away from them to not get hit by flying embers. :)
