Well I think by now we know who won. No more Berg.
Husky and Berg "Reunited" back into Husky or so they say. Better hang onto your 70 degree bikes now!

I was kind of hoping they would all merge with Highland... that is before Malmberg, Bales and Riddoch were killed in the plane crash. (I still wrestle with "conspiracy theories"...).

Often you see niche companies buy out patents on discontinued products and sometimes even improve them. Naza here in Malaysia often takes discontinued auto engines and even 1 motorcycle engine (the old Suzuki SV650) and improve them. CCM is adding oil capacity and some other changes to BMW/Husky's 450.

I'd love to see Highland make a die-cast version of the 70 degree engine and encorporate there amazing fueling system.
I'm a moron when it comes to legal/patent issues... what say you all? Would something like that be possible/plausible? Why wouldn't Husaberg want somebody using their 70 degree design and to continue developing it?

If you are going with a replacement, I would only buy a set that you can fit BPD guards on. They should be high on everybodies list so the above doesn't happen, they are in a different league compared to all the other guards!

Lukas, do those guards fit with the Safari front tank ?. I assume they do , just wanted to confirm first. Thanks

Since they attach to the front of the rads I can't see why not, but I haven't tried it personally.

You can ping Lost Rider, I believe he is running that exact setup.

Finn, I'm sure, will have the last word. BUT, since I now have his BPD rad guards on my Husa, I'm not sure they do fit without some gentle encouragement

Talking about aftermarket choices... I can confirm that Dynaflow upgrades do not fit and cannot really be made to fit :(

Yes they do
I have them on my bike.
I cut 3/4in off the bottom to clear the bottom tank brace

Fastaway will not work when I checked. Unless you make your own adapter or weld on the frame its oem. You cannot mount using the kickstand or it is going to give out.

Nobody makes an alternative to OEM, neither PMB nor Trailtech.

All 09-12 390/450/570 shrouds will interchange no problem.
