Im at work !. But I have no boot on. Fishing trip from this Saturday will be a bit iffy. Dan have you the shot of the Husky trying to surf. Kev
I have rented a house in Bremer Bay for the first week of Easter holidays. Do you reckon it is worth taking the 990? Was going to trailer it down there and have a spin? It might get in the way of the fishing gear though.
Thanks Dennis for organising a fun weekend. And apologies to those that were left waiting at the top of Triton Bluff while we worked out how to get out of there. A couple more pics. Bremer Main Beach Reef Beach The Triton Main Beach Another KTM being worked on Actually he had a good excuse. He had just buried the front wheel in the dunes and taken a tumble over the front.
I would say it is far from the ideal place for the big bikes Bayden. Some places you will get to easily but a lot of it would be just hard work.
I have! How could I forget that. I can't edit the video right now, but here are some screen shots.....
Thanks Den for organising it and lex for helping out as tour guide i had a great time and it was good to meet a few new riders i must say that i am over the smell of bloody coolant after following the ktm kettle for 2 days
Hey Kev, only 1 from me as I have been in the same predicament. The sand around Bremer is as soft as it ever gets and add in a long weekend worth of 4WD, all adds up to making it a bit more challenging. You did miss out on Sunday on being able to eat your lunch and spectate from an elevated vantage point at Triton Bluff (looks like Dan has named a piece of WA before moving on). Nothing like watching some fellow ADVers trying different ways to extricate themselves from the poop, very therapeutic.
I kept thinking its going to be harder ground near the water line. Like hell it is, the wave came up and the bike went down like a concrete boat. Kev.
Thanks for the ride Dennis & Lex. Good weekend. Some challenges, some embrassment but good fun. (The only casuality was pride.) Sorry about the misunderstanding at "Triton Bluff".
Ahh stevie , first thing ann said was ' its been a while since stevies been out for a ride and not wrecked his bike and broken himself and i thought to myself , yeah thank GOD for the ktm kettle
Thanks for the weekend guys, and thanks for organizing Dennis. Lessons I learnt : - need to lighten the bike more (or just take a 450 pocket rocket) - the safari tank full of additional fuel was definitely not required - need to get me some rim locks (15psi rear and 13psi front is too much - except maybe for howard) - have to carry more water - dehydration is a bastard of a thing to go through. (need to allow the extra waiting time for when multiple DR's decide enough is enough :d). - need to get some sand riding in just prior I'm disappointed I let the sand get the better of me, but other than that was great weekend. Good to meet some new faces. Gaz
Not just any rimlock try one that is big enough......I cant really blame the rimlock some skill might of helped.
