Oset parts over the counter?

I need a chain for the boy's Oset ($16), but their ecommerce partner wants $17 for ground UPS shipping. That is a complete ripoff in my opinion -- and probably where the shipper makes most of the profit. I don't mind paying a fair price for shipping, but that's not fair.

Does anyone stock parts for the Oset anywhere?

Alternatively, does anyone know what size the chain is? I'm sure I can buy it in bulk somewhere.

Thanks in advance!

UPS has not had good shipping prices in years. The other side USPS priorty mail should work with that small chain.

What is special about that chain? I would think you take that chain into bicycle shop or possibly motorcycle shop somewhere to match it? I just dont believe OSET would have reinvented the chain/wheel there. But maybe, after all it is "trials" and all that...

I read on another forum that the 16v chain is a #25, 1/4" between pins, 3.1mm between the inner plates. And it is an industrial chain. Common chains on pocket bikes if my information is correct. Do a search on eBay and see what you come up with (http://www.ebay.com/itm/25H-CHAIN-2-...9b2010&vxp=mtr) This may work for you. Is your bike a 16v or 12.5v?

Try Performance Cycle in Denver, as I recall they are an OSET dealer.

OSET chain

The chain is #25H (the H designating it as heavy duty). Master McCarr carries it as do many industrial suppliers. If you do an internet search for the chain you will find it. I think I last bought it for $3 a foot including shipping. You can use the standard chain if you use the standard master links but it will wear much faster.

Hope this helps,

Rick

Thanks for all the help. I wasn't sure if it was 25 or 25H chain and I hadn't checked eBay. Lots of options there. I'm headed to Denver soon also so I will call promotorsports too.

Muchisimas gracias.
