do you have anyone running a trials tire on an enduro? I have a Dunlop 806/803? on my EXC, and love the all around traction (except in deep sand). But, I tore most of the center lugs off running fast on hardpack, I probably have about 300 miles on it. I know the tire was not made for what I did with it, but I really like the traction and feel the trials tire has.

i'm running a kenda big block up front and an almost burnt heidi k60 scout out back...in fact it'll probably pulled off this week for an upcoming trip and replaced with a big block out back.

I wonder if that E - 07 Dakar will hold up as an all purpose tire on a RTW trip - I'll need good traction in sand as my bike is a pig 83 R100rt, and still be able to run over the macadam without burning it down to a donut .

Sizes 120/18 rear and 100/19 front

What do you think there, Danny Boy ?

E-10 or E-07 rear is on my want list :D
The big blocks I mounted a couple months ago are not going to last, like the performance but they are hammered with only about 700 miles on them.

Not asking for Chinese priced tires, not wanting Mefo until they can get them to stop shedding knobs.

Looking for a rear tire soon, 18" for my KTM LC4.

What do you have, shipped to the US?

I don't facebook, ADV is my "social network" :clap

    O.K.
I just read this whole thread and spent the last 10min trying to find a place to purchase a E-07 in the states.
    Nothing.
We've got an elusive guy, seemingly toying with the ADV inmates.
Bill trying (amazing patience BTW) to help him.
    WTF
Do you want to sell us tires or not!! :ear
Sheesh, maybe it's a "new" way to market stuff?? Piss off and confuse the customer?!!?!?!?

I'll check back in, after the K60 I just ordered wears out.
    Cheers,
    S.

Ok....Mitas Man. I'll match that Chinese price + $10 (US) for either version (E07, E09, E10) and post a thorough test right here in this thread for the whole world to see. But you do have to actually produce them and ship them to me.

Cutting and pasting the photos onto my existing used tires has not gained me any useful life. :lol3

    You do make tires, no?

I just put a 140/80/17 E09 Dakar rear on my 800gs, replacing a kenda big block that only lasted 2000 miles. I ordered it from midasmx.com, and is arrived pretty quickly and I got several confirmation/shipping emails. Overall, I thought the transaction was pretty smooth, but I DO have a few concerns:

1st, I have a VERY VERY hard time doing business with a company with no phone number. I challenge any of you to find one on the website, it isnt there. That alone may keep me from ordering another tire from there.

2nd, the tire was 3 years old. week 33 of 08 build date. makes me nervous.

finaly, please, please make (and advertise on the web) an e09 in 150/70/17. I feel better running the proper size.

I've read that people have had good luck with this tire, and I feel like the $120 price point is just right for a tire that will hopefully give me 2000+ miles of off road performance on my F800, we'll see how it progresses, I'll keep everyone updated.

We, Mr. Ed's Moto replied(PM) to Mitas about 2 weeks ago with answers to all his questions regarding dealers.
What dealers need in the way of inventory, dealer support, advertising and priceing.
    So far NO REPLY.
    Must be a soft sell.
We get good support from Michelin, Avon, Dunlop, Pirreli, Shinko, Mefo, Etc.
Maybe Mitas just does not have the volume to support sales in the USA.

I won't be buying one of these tires any time soon if ever, when the vender starts a thread, and then doesn't respond to questions.
