Slimmer patches with a year date would be cool. Big patches take up too much room. Maybe like chevrons?

Cute! What about taking her down the back roads? Skittles and I are going to be taking our time down too.

So my wife (known here as Skittles) just passed her BRT. She doesn't think she would be ready for group rides anywhere and wants to go slow. Any other N00b fems want to join her in practice riding in the area?

Audra has had two lessons (from me). One in our backyard and one down at the High School Parking lot.

I am taking it slow with her.

On Saturday, Audra will get her third lesson......also back down at the HS parking lot.

Early next week, she is going to take her written test to obtain her Riding Permit. Once she has her Permit, we are going to start exploring all the Black Forest Roads, which are a mix of pavement and well maintained dirt roads.

Eventually, probably the first week in July, we will take a trip up to Rampart for her first, full dirt experience.

We are going to ride with SargentMarty and his wife on the 10th of July.....that will be her first group ride.

The good news is.....Audra is having a blast and loves riding her bike.

I'm kind of wishing I still had that set-up. With gas prices the way they are, It would cost me @ $800 in gas alone to trailer my DR650 out there with my truck, which I can't afford this year.

If I make it out there at all this year, it will probably just be on my street bike. :cry

The DR650 will make it for sure! I took a 16 hour road trip on my 2009 DRZ400 and it did awesome! Hit as many dirt roads as possible but all in all, probably 70% ended up on the street. ( Sweet Cheeks on that trip made all the difference, but my rear end was still numb sometimes.
