Hi all.. just had the mother of all oven fires while cooking the ex girlfriend's dinner. Have soot all over the place and you won't believe how far a kilo of baking soda can travel around your house when it is under pressure.

Anyhow... started me thinking.. fires start easily.. once saw a guy drop a Suzuki TS185 in the bush. It burst into flame and about a dozen guys took turns pissing on it to try to put it out..

    Was not successful at all.

So.. after tonights episode.. I am thinking of mounting an extinguisher on my KLR!

    Any comments, experiences or suggestions?

fire in the kitchen isn't much fun.

less mess with one of these, and less chance of spraying burning oil everywhere if not used to using extinguishers . . . .

    DCP makes a mess
CO2 extinguishers leave no residue, and are good for chilling beer :1drink

Fire blanket is good for range top fires.. but i would not have been able to get it in the oven this time. Extinguisher put it out in a heartbeat. Now I have powder everywhere....
