<-------NEWSFLASH!!!!!!!!-------> The inimitable Richard Correia will be bringing his Amazing 1925 Henderson DeLuxe to the show!! This beautiful 4-cylinder beast finished the Motorcycle Cannonball Run in 2012 with a Perfect Score!! That's 3,956 miles across the Nation, without missing a single point!! Now YOU can feast your eyes on this historic two-wheeler, up-close and in the "flesh"! oh.......and that's not ALL he's bringing! Stay Tuned.
Richard has been very generous with his offer to come all the way down to Brooklyn from Massachusetts. Along with the beautiful Henderson DeLuxe, he will be lending his stunning Harley Davidson JD to the show's line-up!! Come check it out on Sunday, May 18th!
When was the last time you got down on your knees and really looked at how the center-hub steering mechanism on a 1923 Ner-a-Car functions? Huh?.......you HAVEN'T?! Come to the show on Sunday, May 18th, and you'll have your first chance, then!
An EXCELLENT Question, Mr. Hammerfist7. If....after a full hour of gawking at the 1923 Ner-a-Car, you still don't fully understand the workings of the center-hub steering...... ..you will be served a double Espresso, paired-up with one of our on site master-riders, and led through a dozen hot laps on the back yard Velodrome. Thanks for your inquiry.
<-------NEWSFLASH-------> We are thrilled to announce the inclusion of this formidable Gold Star Flat Tracker to the Show!! Originally owned & prepared by NYC's own stalwart crew at Sixth Street Specials.....This bike is currently owned, and very generously lent to us by Wade Schields! Come check it out!
Excellent, England-Kev....Thanks for that! So I guess you're already familiar with the other beautiful bike that Wade is graciously lending to the show? Just in case the Gold Star flat tracker is too racy for your blood, you can come on Sunday, May 18th to see his 1951 Gold Star street bike!
Wade and I have ridden across Europe together, we go back aways I posted a link to your show on my blog here... http://backstreetthunder.wordpress.com/ and sent a copy off to Wade and the guys up in NY city... wish I could make it over
I Really appreciate that you listed the show on your blog, Kevin! Cheers! The venue hosting this show (and where I work as the Chef), Brooklyn Bowl, recently opened at the O2 Arena in London...... ...so who knows? I may be enlisting your help again some day, in order to launch; Split'n Lanes & Dodgin' Gutters London!! I have enjoyed your photos for Years on this site...so Thanks for that too. I did have the pleasure of visiting the Kempton Bike Jumble several years ago, and wished, at the time, that I had had access to a shipping container! Thanks again.
Thank Goodness Clark Gable wasn't the only person to own a Harley Davidson RL Forty-Five inch flat head, with total-loss oiling system..... ........Kevin Lobasso has one too. And he's planning to ride his 1932 version in to Brooklyn and show it on Sunday, May 18th! Legendary!
* We interrupt this fascinating "dialogue" about Vincent motorcycles, to make the following announcement: We are currently seeking Teens-Era motorcycles for the show. No.....of course you don't have one of these in your garage.....I don't either. But that old timer friend of your dad's, who know's that one dude in ______ has one. Please contact him and tell him about this event! Thank you. You may proceed with your Vincent thoughts & comments.
<-------NEWSFLASH-------> Ride to Brooklyn, NYC on Sunday, May 18th, and scope-out John Romano's fabulous 1953 Vincent Black Shadow Series C. This bike is immaculate, & remains unmolested by the touch of "creative" young "builder's" claws. Hope to see you there!
You, sir, are an entertaining show promoter! You make me wish I could scratch my plans and hop on a plane to New York this weekend.
Thanks for those kind words, Cowboy.... appreciate it! By the way..... ...your "wish" has been granted! Feel free to scratch your plans and join us in NYC on Sunday, May 18th! Airplanes are frightening, however......I think you should hop on an obsolete motorbike and head East. Cheers!
<-------THIS JUST IN-------> From our: "JUST BECAUSE WE CAN" DEPT. Since we've received such an overwhelmingly positive response on Mr. Romano's Black Shadow.......We thought it was only appropriate to reward your enthusiasm with a SECOND ONE! You read that correctly.....Louis Yoh will be honoring us by adding his phenomenal 1952 Vincent Black Shadow to our event. That's one Vincent Black Shadow per eyeball folks! :eek1
<-------NEWSFLASH-------> My friend, Dave Molnar will be riding the 1926 Henderson DeLuxe motorcycle that he built with his own hands! This beast started out as a collection of 3 different, cast-off broken engines with no transmission. He will ride-in to the show from Ontario, Canada! If you want to take the "Longest Distance Ridden" Trophy away from him... ......you better get up pretty early in the morning!
