I always wanted one of these back in the day. The 250 I had then and now have probably saved me a few broken bones though....

Can't possibly be originals... Did you do the restorations? They look fantastic.

Nice welding rig in the back - what (which) is it?

Thanks! The 250 was a full restoration project the wife and I did a few years back, she did all of the internet part searching and buying and I was the wrench twister. The 400 is mostly original with a lot of TLC and elbow grease. I love my 110 welder, it’s a Lincoln Weld Pac 3200.

I'm going to have to take pictures of my other smokers, but this ones a runner. I'm 23, and I also have a 1979 RM125 and a 1976 GT550 that I am restoring. Just picked up this 1971 TS185 a few weeks ago. It ran when my brother and I got it, but poorly. I pulled the carb to rebuild it, but it was un-fixable. The previous owner said it was taken to a shop to have the carb tuned by a pro, LOL. :roflThe needle jet had no shape, it was just straight like a peice of steel just put in there, the slide was tight as fuck, and had been forced in there incorrecty, it had a quarter jamed in there to hold the cable, and the adjustment screws were cranked in as tight as possible, the idle included. I put the settings back to stock and it ran like garbage, rich as hell. After all of those problems we said fuck it, and ordered a chinesse carb for her. Bolted it on, and it started first kick. Fucking right! My brother and I took her for a ride yesturday and it worked great, we rode for an hour or so untill the jacked up chain adjusters let the chain get real loose. Pretty good for $300 I think.

It apears to have later model rims on it. and it does have a side cover.
