So anybody dropped the coin to get an aftermarket exhaust for the new F800GS? The dealer had a GS with a Remus hexacone slip on and pulled it out for me to hear. Wow! You want a deeper, meaner growl..... I almost dropped 8 bills right then and there.

Yes, please! I JUST got my new 800 GS and am absolutely in love right now (it sleeps in my room at the foot of my bed). So now I've got farkle-itis. Exhaust is pretty high on my list. I put Remus on my R1150R and it was the best sounding system I could find back in '03. I wouldn't have a problem getting another Remus, but should I be looking at Akra? Remus is a little cheaper, but sound is where it's at for me. Anyone heard the two side by side?:ear
P.S. Is it wierd that I kind of enjoy the stock exhaust? Just a tiny rumble with stealthy-quiet cruising? I can't believe I'm saying this.

Never out of the box/just decided to not use it. If it doesn't sell, I'll install it in a month or so. How are the keys these days?

That seems a little counterproductive doesn't it?

Increase motor performance while decreasing ground clearance. So it sounds good while you're stuck on a rock? :lol3

......Jus havin fun man, but really how much did you have to lower it?

I've been eyeballin' the Leo Vince slip on. Anyone have that yet? I've always like Leo's for off road/MX bikes. Price wise they're hard to beat, too.

I'm about to do the same thing. I wonder if I'll have to alter my BMW bash plate?

How much bigger are these headers?

It's not that loud and it also comes with an optional silencer insert.

Real easy to put in and out, one small bolt holds it in.

With the silencer in its about as loud as stock only deeper sound.

There is also a sticker you can put on it if you want to advertise.

The bike feels quicker to me, don't know if it's my imagination or not.

I will do a little video tomorrow so you can here it.

    OK here's two crappy videos.

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/fHEPrREefTM&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/fHEPrREefTM&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

This one I just stuck the camera in my back pocket.
sorry about the quality, but should give you an idea of the sound.

I might do another one later at a faster speed.

sweet... love the sound when it idles... will be curious to know if you think it would be too loud at 70mph for long distance.

    Here's another going 70+

There was traffic stopped ahead or I would have cruised at 70 longer.

    I don't think it's loud.

When I start out on this vid, I'm taking the revs to about 7,000 rpm

of course it is a little louder in real life than on video, but I don't think
it would be a problem at all for long distance.

Remember, there is also the included silencer insert which quiets
it to about stock level, just deeper and "growlier"

    Ok,

I don't no S**t about exhaust. It seems to me though, and I may be wrong, that a slip on exhaust is just noise unless you change out the whole system and dump that CAT.

I'd like to re do my whole exhaust, dump that CAT and re map for 89 OCT, so that I am ready for international travels.
