Thanks Razr! Looking forward to it.

Since we are heading back to the other coast we are driving from Palmdale to Vegas on Thanksgiving and leaving the truck there. We are renting a car to come back to Palmdale. Can we just leave the truck at The Orleans for Thursday and Friday nights without any worries?

Talk to the manager at the front desk and let him know what you want to do and make sure it is OK, otherwise you might end up getting towed.

yes. you are fine to leave your vehicle near the northwest side of the parking lot near where we are finishing the event.
just talk with the front desk and the security staff.
my buddy that did the Fly and Ride left his truck there for a week with no problem. the parking lot is lit up and has plenty of security.

    I was the drive-n-fly guy :D

Drove to Vegas the Thurs before the ride, parked at the Orleans, walked through the casino to the lobby, hailed a cab, flew to Phoenix for business that weekend, either flew back to LA or did a one-way car rental.

Did this twice and didn't ask permission, etc either time, no problems.

Eudurocross in Vegas on the 23rd.

Good opportunity to drive two trucks to Vegas, watch the race, leave a truck there and drive back to LA.

This year I plan to ride back on Sunday.

Pretty sure this has been covered here, but you need to call the Orleans directly and use the group code (page 1) to get a room. Otherwise the hotel is showing sold out.

The best is when it rains on day 2, get to tromp into the lobby of a nice hotel soaking wet and filthy.

Why sure, I'd love a free beer! :freaky

Agreed that you should double check, but the Orleans told us that we could leave our vehicle and trailer there for the ride. They didn't guarantee security though.

Who's riding from LV to Palmdale before the start. We're heading over a couple of days ahead of time and staying with friends in LA before going to Palmdale the night before the ride. Any route suggestions, especially with the rains in Death Valley, would be appreciated. We're riding a big Husky and a Challenge so a little slab is not out of the question, but we'd like to stick to the dirt.
