Reports are starting to filter in that Ben Spies is a scratch for LeMans and will be replaced by Ducati test rider Michele Pirro.

Love him or hate him, Marquez is the guy to watch.
Qatar was all about Rossi vs Marquez
COTA was all about Pedrosa vs Marquez
Jerez was all about Lorenzo vs Marquez

Now that things have gotten more physical up front, it will be interesting to see if anyone starts pushing back.
    Perhaps Rossi or Crutchlow will?
As much as Lorenzo might want some payback, I don't think that's his style these days.
Could we see Pedrosa and Marquez trading paint? One can only hope. :lol3

    Aww, shit.
I do know somewhat how he feels, I have a pinched nerve in my shoulder right now, and I don't think I could ride a race bike with it going on.

Watching the pre-race footage and coverage of the Jerez race I was reminded of Marco Simoncelli in the outright ZEAL with which Marquez rides. There was a bit of pre-race film showing him low-siding the bike and hanging on through it that was eerily familiar to Marco's last ride. I hope he can temper the zeal and ride fast safely without hurting himself or others. He has phenomenal skill and such an appealing energy; he obviously LOVES his sport. It's too bad Pedrosa's win was overshadowed by the drama, he rode a fantastic race.

I thought Lorenzo's response to Marquez's attempted apology after the race was very classy - wag the finger and shake the head, but no harsh words. Lorenzo has matured greatly - I remember him riding like a scud missile at times earlier in his career. He's got the long view, winning the championship doesn't mean winning every race. I'm certain he's already plotting an upgrade to his tactics, and he'll certainly pay more attention to his back next race!

I still really enjoy watching Valentino Rossi ride. I think he has done an amazing job coming off Ducati and the awful experience there to pulling off the finishes he's had so far this season. He's still adjusting, give him time. The competition is fierce, though, so I hope he can step up his game as he gains confidence on the Yamaha. It's great to see Hayden doing as well as he is on the Ducati and I hope they can get more competitive under the new ownership.

All in all, it looks like it's going to be an exciting season. At the end of last season I had my doubts.

No talk of Espargoro's great ride? He was giving Dovi fits for most of the race. Very impressive for a CRT.

Interestingly it's rumoured that young brother Pol will be getting Cal's ride next season (not Bradleys!)

There was a lot of good racing going on, but it's hard to tell sometimes because of the film editor's selections. I wish I could control the cameras sometimes. I'd really rather watch ALL the bikes cross the line than the team members slapping each other on the back after the winner crosses...

And Holy Mother-F'ing Shed of the Gods (:lol3) that "man-cave" he's got out back of the house was frigging awesome - your own helicopter in there with all the other toys and another wet bar?!?!? Whoa..... that sets a whole new standard.

Doohan still looks like a very, very intense dude. Probably needs a lot of self-medication. "Hold the painkillers, give me double highball."

Imagine the reaction if Ben Spies takes a podium this year.
After all he's been through, that would bring the house down.
It's about time fate smiled upon the guy just a wee bit.

Aussies don't have the aversion to getting wrecked that Americans do. Its rather refreshing.

There were 15 bikes and a chopper in there...not to mention FIVE NSRs. The V-rod wasn't terribly impressive.
