It does look quicker that way, but I didn't find any places with 1/4 cord of firewood coming in that way. There are a couple of firewood places in Apple Valley.

Thanks for the info. I googled around, and it found "L.V.Firewood of Victorville" at 9988 Dusty Ln, Lucerne Valley. I'll call this place & the ones in AV tomorrow to see who has what.

My Christmas stuff is done. Ms.Beta is ready for action. Getting the trailer ready tomorrow.
I wish Santa would hurry up, so I can go PLAY!!! :evil

    Firewood in LV.

If you come in the 247 from Barstow, turn right at the 247/18 stop sign (you would turn left if going to Johnson Valley). There usually are some folk selling firewood out of their pickups within the next half mile. If not, Stay Warm Firewood is another half mile. They are fairly large and you cannot miss.

    Cool!

I'm planning to ride thru the 1st or 2nd. Or maybe even the 3rd if I got someone to ride with. Most of our No.Cal friends have bailed. :huh "Its too far!"

Other than Scott & I, only one other No.Cal rider is coming. We're all planning to arrive on the 26th & ride 27th-... I'm glad to hear we are getting more local adv folks interested. Should be FUN!

THANKS for the great information! :clap

Starting that weekend, Means should have lots of rigs out practicing for the King of the Hammers race in February. If you guys have not seen these vehicles, you will enjoy visiting the various camp site and looking. :D

I've seen RearSteer's rig in his barn. I'm looking forward to seeing a few in action.

OK, so far I'm looking good for an early departure in the morning. :D As I don't have a smartphone, I will probably be off the internet during the trip. If you need to reach me (voice or txt) after this evening, my cell # is NineTo5-For3seven-3five9three.

Its going to be COLD, bring MORE firewood!

    Seeya in JV! :ricky

Johnson Valley is a BIG place. We maybe rode about 1/3 of it in 3 days. The other days were spent exploring in the hills.

The singletrack in the Iron Ridge is plentiful and fun, until the steep, loose uphills. Especially after Rearsteer has chewed 'em to BITS! :eek1 :rofl

A great place for lunch that quickly turned into standing-room only about 20 minutes after we arrived. What TIMING!!

Although I didn't manage to get a photo of Rich, his FE570 is in the photo above.
Sorry I hardly pulled the camera out that day.

We rode Cal.City & Stonyford with Scott last year, but this was the 1st time he brought the 12-string out. Maybe he just needed more wine?!?

Yeah looking at the other threads, it seems like you got a better offer! :lol3 When can we expect to see your hillclimb video?

The Means-Lake fireworks shows on NYE were OK. Not as good at the ones at Cal.City. The folks next to us did do a pretty-good show about 9:30PM, for their kids I guess. I was not ready with the camera THEN! :bluduh

It was a good exploratory ride to new areas for some of us. Will definitely be back again to play in the foothills & the sbnf.

THANKS again Razr & Mojave Mutt for the great where-to-explore clues! :freaky
