I slept in a little bit.
I went to the post office to buy some stamps. I then went to get my weekly allergy shots, followed by some grocery shopping.
I rode to meet a friend for lunch at Mellow Mushroom. Sorry no pictures of that.
    After lunch.

Without any further ado I present your next Midlands tag. It should need no introduction. :lol3

Good luck. I know it is in your ten mile zone, but go for it anyway :gerg I'm sure your photos would be much better than mine.

Back to the land of the gainfully employed tomorrow. :cry

caycek5, you need to remove the front mud guard... it doesn't match the rest of your plastic-less bike. :D

EDIT: Good job on the grab, I had no idea where that was and turns out it was right around the corner from me.

If he's going for plastic-less, he's also going to have to come up with a new fuel tank. :D

And Ryan, welcome back to the world of workin' stiffs.

I looked this up on Sunday after it was posted.
To bad the weather did not cooperate with me this morning. :cry

Your bike looks good, but I was thinking looks a bit naked.:smile6

PS... What's up with you and those round brick buildings??? Did you at least look inside this time?

It is where tagging all started for me. That was when there was only the state game. :deal

I've looked inside them before, years ago. The three wheeled cart was there then as well. In all my passing by's over the years I've never seen the gates open on the kilns.

It makes sense now. What do you suppose they used those kilns for?
Funny thing is I have lived in SC for 14 years, and I never really noticed them before now.
Yes, I have been up and down that road lots of times, but never noticed.
I guess I will just have to start paying more attention!!

:rofl:rofl These two are you and Hurc838 laughing at me, I'm sure!!

Anybody down for some riding in the Midlands or SC area today? or the rest of the weekend?

Its supposed to be in the low 70s today, Sat and Sun a little cooler. I don't have any sick people to take care of, the gf is out of town, and I'm going to blow off all the stuff I have to do around the house for a while. Let's ride! :ricky

So I'm up for anytime today. Saturday could work, but I have a date with the TV for the GT vs uga game from 12-3:30. Sunday is also wide open.

I'm on the new F800GS so probably going to keep it to light dirt/gravel. I've sadly only had the chance to put 800 miles on it in the past 6 weeks and am still getting used to it. My offroad has been minimal on it so far. Still chicken about messing up a basically brand new bike. Maybe someone will convince me to get a little crazy with it? :happay

I didn't see a good "want to ride thread" for SC besides the lowcountry ones, so will probably post up in a few threads!

Sorry I didn't check ADV before heading out today; you'd have been welcome to ride w/me, DSJ. Did you get out for a ride?

I needed a mental health day after all that cooking, so before lunch today I mapped out about a 55-mile trail from Neeses to Ridge Spring and rode it after lunch, for a 110-mile round trip. I'd say it was approximately 75% dirt. There's some nice rolling country over that way (think "Aiken horse country"-North). I saw some people riding horses today, and 4 wild turkeys.

Now I'd like to map from Ridge Spring over to Cayce, and combine it with the Livingston to Cayce section of the MEOW, and that would be a nice 150+ mile dirty loop. Then I want to map from Ridge Spring over into the Long Cane district of the Sumter NF and then swoop way down to the Augusta Stagecoach Rd area, then from there probably tie in to the Southern part of the HO-CAT.
