Cyclops is happy to offer a Great deal on our New Adventure LEd light. This light was originally designed for the Mountain bike crowd. However in the year it has taken to bring it to market we have been doing some aggressive riding and Camping with it attached to the shop work horse a trusty GS1100. This is a battery powered 900 Lumen LED that can be run from the included battery or from the bikes DC system. Use it as an Auxiliary light running from the bikes stem then take it off with no tools for use as a portable camping or work light. It also serves as a very good Helmet mount light. The light has 3 power settings. High, low and a strobe pattern perfect for Hi Viz lights.. here it is strapped to the blinker stem on our GS And here is another with it on the helmet mount
Here is a photo of the helmet mount also doubles as a stand for a camping light. This light will run on high for 4 hrs with the included battery 10 hrs on low
We have priced this system at 139.95 for the complete kit..Light head, battery, Charger, helmet and round bar mount...(Handle bar or crash bar) If your in Canada or Zimbabwe please call 1 800 624 0278 http://www.cyclopsadventuresports.com/?page=products&id=96
Is a separate cable necessary to hardwire to the motorcycle's electrical system? Once wired to the bike, can the light still be used with the battery pack? I really like the thought of a removable light, but need a few more details.
Yes There is an included extension cable that would allow you to tap into the bikes power. Pulls 10 watts. You can unplug the light, remove it and use it with the battery. The light is held on with a heavy duty O ring.It will mount on any oval or round stem.Note.. The light head does not swivel from side to side, Only up and down. However it can be mounted on a vertical stem as well. This one on the bike photo has run almost 8,ooo miles. Its brighter than the headlight (at least on low beam) I used it once as a work light when the Pannier mount decided to let loose. I also found it very useful around camp. There are probably Questions that I have not answered, so please keep them coming.
The p7 emitter is rated at 900 at the amperage that this light is pushing. These do use the best available D bin emitters To be absolutely honest if you put it on a light meter it would probably show a bit less. here is a beam shot. This is one light
I just placed an order for a couple of the lights. I'll try to remember to give some feedback once I have tried them out.
Hi there, I placed an order for 2 of them, one for each side of the bike, but the total is still $124.95. Is that normal, or am I lucky enough to get 2 for the price of 1. Here is my order summary. Order Summary 134.90 SKU Product Name Quantity Price Weight ADVLED_SPECIAL Special: LED Adventure Light 2 $124.95 Total Amount: $124.95 Total Shipping: $9.95 Invoice Total: $134.90 E.S.
Yikes.. Thanks for the heads up and the order!! I better get my Web Guys on this.. It came up correct on my end. Ill send you an email or call asap. Thanks Darryl
The same thing happened on my order, but I clicked on "update cart" or some such thing & it seemed to work. It was asking for discount code though... Hopefully the lights work better than the website
This Damn website is going to kill me.6 months and still a POS. I had thought it was all worked out 2 weeks ago.. I appreciate you guys working threw it..The cart is setup to always ask for a discount code. This product is heavily discounted if you fallow the link in this thread. Otherwise if you go to the normal site and view this light it is priced at 225.95.. Dont do that.. Please fallow the link or give me a call at 1 800 624 0278 .. You will find the light is very good and at an extremely low price. We stand behind our stuff. If your not satisfied send it back..
I talked to Darryl on the phone about the website problems & he's trying to get it under control. He wanted to be sure my order was correct. Seems like a standup guy. Update to come when the lights arrive.
What is the wattage @ what voltage for this 900 lumen led light ? what voltage input does it create 900 lumen ? Is there an ies file or lab report that shows it was tested in a integrating sphere (or applied test method) and produces 900 total lumen output ?
Please read a post entirely before a reply Since you also sell lighting products you should know the rating of 900 lumen's with a p7 is theoretical. We do use the highest quality D bin emitters. Most use substandard c or b bin these are only capable of approx 700 lumen's. and most likely will really put out less. Voltage input isn't the Q you should be asking.. amperage is.. Also a knowledge of what a d bin, c bin, etc is As I described in the post above, On a light meter these will most likely show somewhat less. That doesn't mean they are less useful in any way..Nor does it mean we are advertising something that is not true or correct. We do have LED aux lights that put out anywhere from 900 to 20.000 true lumen's.at 90% efficiency The Lumen game is really a joke. There is far more to a light than what the stated lumen rating may be.. Lumen ratings have nothing to do with how far a light will penetrate, what the beam pattern is or what color temp they are. I care about how well a system works on a Motorcycle. A test in a sphere might be good for interior lighting, IMO does nothing for forward lighting systems. I dint play that nonsense game.We state the Lumen rating as only a guide.. You might try a forum like candle power. We have been in the lighting industry for nearly 10 years. The Top off road racers in the world use our stuff.. There is a reason for that. I wish you luck with your lighting sales.
I was asking about the lumen rating because I have a dealer that is looking for a 900 lumen light just like the unit you sell. I don't carry anything similar to your light. I wasn't trying to put you on defensive. I am more interested in creating business relationships/partnering and if I can wholesale your product to one of my dealers than that benefits both of us. I have 10 years UL testing experience in UL standards 1598 and the new 8750 (LED Standard). I also have been designing lighting for 10 years working for OEM lighting manufacturers so I understand light distribution, lumen, luminaire efficacy, footcandles, beamwidth, dimming systems,....etc. When I first saw your light - I figured it had to be around 10 watts if running with a 12vdc source in order to create in the neighborhood of 900 total lumen output. As to your thing about amperage and volts. I asked for the wattage/volts. I can calculate amperage from that using ohms law. Good Luck !
I apologize for mistaking you for one of those other guys Ive been dealing with for a while on other forums. It has gotten very old. There are a lot of those guys out there. Take care Darryl
The Cart issue should be working fixed, At least it looks like it so far. Also wanted you all to know that we are throwing in an additional wire harness and helmet mount Dual lock with each light for the Moto guys. We are also running this same special for the MTB riders. Please contact us so we know you are an ADV member, otherwise we have no idea to send the additional harness or not. 1 800 624 0278 Pm or darryl@cyclopsmotorsports.com Thank You
