Yup, I agree. When you start getting over 350 lbs it just starts to become another UJM.

I always thought it was odd to have both the 690 Duke and the SMC in he line up, since they are so similar. Same goes for the big Duke and the SM. It makes to keep the SMC and the big Duke, and do away with the other 2.

Mother of God... I can't even identify some of the bikes pictured in this thread, and I really didn't need to see some other bike that I now want...

I must the only person in my state that has a SM........I've never seen another SM rider here.

The most fun I've ever had on the street was with my 400 EXC with a set of Scorps (21/18) riding the cloverleaf down the street from my house. Not sure horse powder is all the, just make the turns tighter

This is more in my line of thinking as well. From a dirt riding background (last was a NEW 1982 495 KTM) but would rather be a little closer to the ground...my legs are short and my age is elevated. Although discontinued, there seem to still be some new 2010 models available, but the dealers can be as much as $3500 apart on prices....

I live in the Arkansas Ozarks, and a 100 mile tank of gas can cover Push Mountain Road and both North & South passes on The Devil's Backbone.....

Just sold my Traxxion Dynamics equipped Goldwing and looking to go back to basics....Fun Fun Fun.

I've been shopping for a new bike off and on for a couple months, and so far I've had two harley, two big 4, and one big 4 +ktm dealers tell me to never sell my WR250X unless I wanted to wallow in regret for riding around here. Sadly, as much as I want something else to spice up the garage I know they're correct, this bike is just too much fun to hoon around on. I think it says something about the bikes when people who's job it is to sell them tells you not to get rid of it, especially since not selling means I don't money or room for a second bike.

I should probably get more dirt-worthy tires for this stuff lol

I picked up a WR250X in the fall with hopes of getting dirt wheels (soon ). Put about a 1000 miles on it in Sumo form, and I was laughing the whole way. And I've had a KTM 520, and 625SMC supermotos in the past. The little Yammi is impressive........I think I'll hold onto the sumo wheels for now

I will say, here in MI, that dualsports are more practical. Not many curvy roads, but plenty of off road options.

I've been wanting to convert ever since my gf let me ride her SM. I've been looking for some rims but can't seem to find a supplier that will sell rims and spoke package. All I find are the expensive wheel kits. Any know a supplier?

I love my Husky 610

had GSXR750 x2, HD sportster, XR650L, FZ1, and the Husky. The Husky is the only one that is left The FZ was smooth and good for 400+ mile days, but I had to be going 130mph to have fun. Ive put a lot of 150-200 mile days on the Husky with ease.

I'm looking for another 17"s for some TKC80s, but I wear out the power lines and dirt rds as it is

I really like supermotos but, only want to own one bike. I want to go on/off road, have a passenger, gor for 300 miles without stopping(have to get a bigger tank on most bikes) and carry a decent bit of luggage. I don't know if i could get one then add a tank, soft luggage and have it carry me and my wife on occasion(cruise 80 by mself, speed limit with her). Everyone I talk to seems to think a single might not be able to handle this as I by myself weigh 265 with no gear at all. I also don't really want to have close service intervals. My current bike is like this and it bothers me. If yoou guys have an idea I would be more then greatful to hear it.

beemer 800...stay away from the Supermoto unless you can swing two bikes!!!
