It's not much of an adventure, nor an exotic location (Pismo Beach, CA), but my favorite thing about this picture is that it was taken totally by accident. It was shot by a GoPro Hero cam that was set to take a still picture at some time interval. It wasn't set up, nobody was looking through the viewfinder, nobody was there to press the shutter button, I don't even think my buddy Spencer even knew the camera was on. That's my brother on the left stretching and I was probably just out of the frame to the right taking a piss. This is exactly how it turned out too, it's resized but otherwise totally unmolested by any photo editing program.

Actually now that I think about it, that sucks. I can't take credit for any of it.:D

After looking through all of the fantastic pictures in this thread I almost hesitate to post my favorite picture taken..

This was taken near Silver City, Idaho at sunrise during my 2 week camping roadtrip. Redneckmech and the Flight of the Nighthawk

Great thread, keep the photos coming

    That's a great shot.

I've almost deleted this thread from my subscriptions several times due to the fact that many people have no idea what might be front page worthy. My tongue hurts from biting it so much. :D

don't get down on yourself... even though it's slightly out of focus (or dirty lens?) i think this one is totally front page worthy. sometimes the accidental shots are the best. :D

Really cool pic, as some wise man said before, sometimes accidental or kinda random shots are the best ones :)

I mean, we have bike, we have a sunset, a beach, a guy who enjoys the sunset, we are only missing you peeing on the beach while watching th sunset here:lol3

P.S.: I am against photo editing. I never edit my pics (ok, I cut them and on VERY, VERY rare occasions I correct the colour a little...but thats all done on my cam, not the computer)

What's the difference between doing it on the cam and the computer.

I rotate, crop and play with the saturation on just about every photo.
I couldn't shoot a straight horizon if my life depended on it.
The original shot is what the camera sees. The finished product is what I saw.

    Nothing.
But, well I really only correct the colour on like 1 out 2000 pictures, other than that, I do nothing but to crop them sometimes.
What I just dont like is people who apply filters, change colours and whatnotelse on pretty much every picture (rotating and cropping etc, ok, doesnt really change the picture anyways).

However, those are just my $ 0,02.

    /B2T:
Your first pic is nice, shuld've made it from a greater distance, where's-Waldo style XD

I never really have used photoshop or any other photo editing program... All of my pictures are as taken. I do not have the time to learn to use any photo editing software at this point... I am not against using it, I simply do not have the time to learn to..

    Amen to that, brother!

Without a 'real' viewfinder on my point 'n' shoot, any level shot is purely accidental. Thank goodness for the straightening function on the computer!

That's an editing function I wish MORE folks would use. (sometimes you have to think, "is it an inner ear problem, or am I just viewing a ride report".....:D)

+1 Mine may look that way too sometimes..... I hate the lack of a viewfinder..
