1150GS shocks on an 1100GS
Can anyone tell me if the shocks off of an 1150GS will fit onto an 1100GS?
Thanks,

^ ^ ^ What he said.
This question seems to have come up several times lately. Perhaps we could put together a list of parts that will swap betweeen models for the Hall of Wisdom. I have several parts from an 1150 on my 1100 (not including shocks) and know of several others which are identical or compatible.

Darn, I need the rear shock more than the front.
Thanks,

If you have Ohlins, the factory service department in NC can make this happen. I had an 1150 turned into 1100 rear shock at a fair price.

What is the difference between the rear shocks that make them incompatible? Length? width of the mounting eyes ????

The lower shock mount is a completely different design.
