    FYI,
Sure like to give you a pic of my new Oil Drain Hose from Craig Johnson, CJdesigns. Just not in position to do that right now.

The hose looks professional with clear plastic encasing the braided stainless steal wrap. No problem with the hose rubbing around in the skid plate area. The hose ends and caps are anodized high quality hydraulic fittings. The inside diameter looks fairly large so oil should drain quickly.

I'm ready to install on my next oil change. If you email CJ I think he will be able to send you a drain hose quickly.

I've never met CJ but he will treat you like a friend and his work is very professional. So the bump to a good guy.

Hmmm... my parts arrived yesterday and my "black" adapter part somehow became "blue" when it arrived. It's a very dark blue, and since it's going to mount on the bottom of the oil tank it'll probably remain blue. :nod

(Maybe if I'm feeling a little too vain I'll spray it quick with some black Rustolum?)

Does anyone have an actual hose length measurement that they are happy with? I see "about a foot....."

I'd like to cut it before I break the bike down for the installation, it's cold out!

    Thanks!

    So what's the consensus....

How many oil changes are you going to go before you pull the left tank and check the oil tank screen?

I do it when I check valves, which is every three or 4 oil changes (it ends up being every winter, at 12-15k intervals, which seems to work).

I check this every Valve check. (when the tanks are off) About every 10,000 miles. It's a very tall screen, and would take a lot stuff to cover it completely and cause an issue imo.

I'll have a small batch of custom ORANGE and black fitting hose kits in the shop this Wed or Thurs, if interested.
