We are needing a new battery so looking in La Paz, anyone know if if Yuasa are avalable thee and maybe where? Cheers Andi
There's a moto rental / workshop right around the corner from that hotel I sent you a link to. If they can't get you a battery, they'd know where to send you. http://www.motorcycletoursbolivia.c...on=com_content&view=article&id=108&Itemid=215
Contact Fernando at Madness Tours, he's the President of KTM Bolivia and will know where you can get a battery. http://www.madness-bolivia.com/contactB.php?lang=id2
We can ship a lithium from Monterrey and it would arrive Wed next week. We are the importer and distributor for Battery Tender Thanks
Heya El Stigo Which Monterrey? there are a few of them. What is the battery and spec and also $$$ please I would love a etx36C but they are a bit spendie. Anyway, please let me know, we are in Bolivia and can get to La Paz or go to Peru to say Tacna
If you guys come to La Paz, let me know. I would love to meet up. I am somewhat stuck with reparations, as my KLR had multiple failures all at once. With Carnevale weekend, nobody is working and La Paz traffic is hideous. It took me three hours to do 20 km the other night and my bike was steaming and overheating. There is a Japanese Motorcycle Battery place across the street from the Honda service place where my bike is. I will go tomorrow and check on availability of your battery type. I'm filthy, finishing a Huari beer, my knuckles are bleeding and my room smells like raw coca leaves. Yeah, I guess I am ADV.
that's good information to know .. Battery Tender lithium batteries are a brand new product so very interested in real world feedback. so which Battery Tender LiFePO4 battery would you recommend for a KTM 950SE going RTW?
Ah. Well, I will be up in Peru on Tuesday, crossing from Copacabana. Perhaps our paths may yet cross.
No bueno para Yuasa en Tacna Looking like heading into Chile in the am, got our battery load tested today in Tacna, came up ok but marginal, no more cold cold starts :eek1 or it will be a push again.
On the 990 I had really good luck with cheap Chinee battrees. In fact, the only battery that ever shorted a cell on me was a Yuasa.
This reminds me that my "spare" battery is dead. I need to buy another one in case I have to do the same as I did on the old GS. Smallest car battery I can find and a few feet of 6 Ga wire. Somewhat visible on the GS rear rack....I kept getting comments about the eeeeelectric bike!
