Wish this wasn't the first; hope it's just the start. And it should be interesting: I'm either riding there on the TW or bringing the wife and girl along.[/QUOTE]

Lets make this interesting......TW vs the Super Sherpa :freaky
The spectators will have moved on before we get to them!

    That's what got me hooked.

Didn't have enough money to enter at the time, let alone get a room. The wife and I got off work at 8pm Friday, drove through the night to Cheraw, volunteered all day Saturday (including the corner where we met BC61 doing PT to stay warm), broke bread with some Dakar legends and you FF's, listened to stories of victories/bare-eyed racing in the dark/swapping trannies in the motel parking lot at 1 am/sneaking motorcycles, in pieces, out of countries, Jason and his wild air-cooled beast, etc. We slept in the car in a campsite parking lot (it was so cold that year) until first light Sunday then took off for home.

We had such a blast we wore the T-Shirts everywhere, and I met seaside at the meteor/hammer?? Enduro and talked him into checking it out. He raced it three months later on his R1200GS and I think he shocked most folks with his time!

Now that I have some time and cash I'm in too!

:lol3 That's funny....I see what you did there....

I met Big Jim at Aerostich, he recoginized the ST and called me by name.....then he dragged me and my buddy to a BBQ the wrong way home. We had a floor, in a house to sleep on and good company and even better BBQ. He ain't all bad.:deal

Hopefully in this year. This damn new job is still getting in the way of racing but hopefully they can survive without me for a few days next Feb.

I'm signed up. Jack, sorry to hear you'll have to sit this one out. I expect to be back on my feet following 17 September broken foot, which forced me out of the GS Trophy challenge and Pine Barrens 300. Ara, your F800 has evolved tremendously from last year. Impressive!

...well,... ain't wrote it off yet but may be volunteerin' instead cuz one way or another I wanna hang out with ya'll.

... just Scored a Belly Tanker set of tins from a F6F Hellcat (I'm a pretty serious Hotrodder outside of ADV). I got a '51 Flathead, a drop axle & a mess of gearsets that are beggin' to get slapped together for a Bonneville run.

Still tryin' to get the Bike sorted incase both are on the table (ie: the wife don't choke me out first!):lol3

    Cheers mates!,

Thank you, Dan. Hope to see you at the rally again. Although I have put very little time on the F8 this summer (been riding single tracks on my 2T all summer), she's ready to roll. Heel up well, and see you there.

Well....My interview at Apple went well and it looks like I'll see an offer in the next week or so....So I'll most likely pick up and move to the San Fran bay area, meaning my east coast RallyMoto season will most likely not happen :fitz

Congrats Tom! You're moving to one of the most spectacular areas in the world, and absolutely full of incredible riding opportunities, both on and off road.

We'll miss you kicking our butts on stage this year.

You should have no problem whooping my ass at RM. I'm finding that it's more fun to get drunk Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at SB than it is to take it very seriously. If Doug decides to race the Buffalo, I'll come down with Mike and have some fun on the big bike again. Maybe I'll see 100 this year:lol3 Bill, redo on the HP?

Ok, signing off now... ya'll have fun
