I was hoping CRG made some clamp on mirrors, I'm only finding bar end. I want to get a low-profile clamp on to use on my dualsport of if I drop it I don't snap the mirrors. Anyone have recommendations? I am googling but haven't found anything yet. Thanks, Barry
Get some of Neduro's Double Take mirrors. You can actually see out of them, they are easily adjustable (RAM ball based) and can be folded down out of harm's way before hitting the hard stuff. I put a pair on a ducati - and after some *$(#@ turned left in front of me, they were not only intact, but still pretty close on adjustment. YMMV, but they're good. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=571500 http://www.doubletakemirror.com/
I've tried several times to contact the Dual Star folks, as I've gotten stuff from them before. I'm actually looking for their mirrors, too. I've got one set of Ned's Double Takes on my 950 SE, but am looking for something less fiddly. I'm not interested in the view. I'm interested in literal compliance with the law. Long story to get around to saying that the Dual Star number has apparently been disconnected. I just tried both the 425 and 800 numbers and got the no-longer-in-service message.
bumping this wondering if anybody has had any luck getting the dual star mirrors or has found an alternative?
I agree,,,, I love the Dual Star mirrors. My favorites so far on two different bikes but I need another set and Dual Star is apparently defunct. Please,, please,,,,,, will another dual sport business please step up and basically copy this design as it's honestly perfect for me and apparently many others.
Is there a reason the bar end mirrors won't work? I get the e-bay specials and they will clamp on to any 7/8" area on the bar. With all the adjustments, you could probably get it pretty close. (picture shamelessly stolen)
