Great report, Big Dog! 4 of us are heading down to Baja on the 15th, will park the van/trailer in San Felipe, ride through Mike's and over to the Pacific side, back through Catavina to Bay of LA and on to San Francisquito, then back up the Sea of Cortez side-----pics were great, good to hear about Coco! (looking forward to meeting him)

Was planning on finding you and hanging out a while----been a good place to take a rest day in Cabo.

    thanks trice.

Have a great time-------we left the trails in fine condition------I'm bettin' you guys are riding dedicated dirt bikes since you are hauling to San Felipe----you'll have a blast on those things.

Great RR again Big Dog, I really enjoy the way you lay out the story. It's a real "Hoot". Hope DW mends quickly.

Also curious where you got your back fender rack for your 250, I would like to find one for my CRF250X.

    Thanks

    Good report. Thanks for posting!
A friend and I did the other trail from Mike's to El Coyote a few years ago. The one that heads up the hill right away, to the west I believe. It was tough but the way you guys went looked even tougher. Good job knocking that one out!

That rack is not available anymore---a guy started making them----got overwhelmed with orders and didn't have the time to deal with it.

Hope you get to someday----Baja is so awesome.
There are many things that make Baja so neat-------one of the best things is there is not hardly anyplace you can't ride. None of this greenie wilderness bull. They may be the rare spot.

Always nice to read about riding someplace warm when you're someplace cold with a motorcycle in a bunch of pieces. I'll have to get myself south one of these days...

    Mark,

Isn't about time you quit scratching the dog and talking to the UPS girl and got back to the report?

    BTW, PM inbound.

Dang, wished I'd known you guys were there, my son and I just got home Sunday from 6 weeks and 5000 miles in Baja. You stayed in the same site we did at Canon de Guadalupe :lol3

Look familiar? You can just make out the cool bamboo archway inside the palapa. We were there Jan 9-10 ...

Sorry to find out Dingweed was injured, but hopeful the recovery is going well. Good luck.

Did you get attacked by the donkey's ???

Dingweeds is back working I heard from his wife---------he's a brick layer --pretty hard work---so he must be doing pretty good.

I've learned he's a tough ole' fart tho.

Nope, a few cucarachas tried to attack but we knew the dance...

El Chupacabra got us in El Tecolote, north of La Paz-------we had stocked up on bread, <strike>tortillas</strike> flapjacks, pan dulce--all the good stuff we'd been out of--when we rolled through La Paz. We were camped next to a bunch of nice Canadians (wow, what a shock :lol3) who invited us to share their warm and entertaining campfire------and left our saddlebags open. When we got back, good 'ol Chup had managed to find every bag with carbs, ripped them open and devoured them. :eek1

    Another lesson learned.

Thanks for taking us down south Mark and Scott!!! :kumbaya Baja is on my bucket list, and now I have your tracks and waypoints tucked away for future reference.

Scott, hope the pain is getting better, just no easy route to heal broken ribs, other than time and perhaps some single malt. Your refusal to give up the ride after the fall is a real testament to your strong character. Perhaps that broken rear seal was a sign from a higher power.

I hope you get down there someday----we are going back for sure.

Just talked to Scott this morning----------he's off on a several day ride down in Arizona---lucky turd gets to ride year round.
So he's feeling pretty good---but a little sore.

I'll be back at Scotts in early April for our next ride.
