Pittsburgh Area Rider's Thread

Yeah, cant make it to BYOB, but going to AltRider the following week.

Anyone going to BYOB have an interesting route planned? I'm quite a bit north of Pittsburgh but I'm curious to see which way you guys are going.

What are your plans for riding up there? I may be into leaving Friday morn and coming back on Sunday.

We are going to ride two-up leaving Saturday morning, and making the day of it.

We are going to head up 28 pointing toward SB Elliot State Park. From there we will take Caldonia Pike and eventually find 144 North.

Sounds like a good trip. If you guys are leaving Friday morning, I could probably link up with you around Brookville.

We are planning to leave "two-up" Saturday morning.

I have not secured when I'm leaving yet. Could be anytime between Wed evening through Fri evening.

If I leave early enough on either day, it'll be mostly dirt n gravel. The later I leave the more my routing will favor arriving before it gets dark. If leave after 5PM the routing will be primarily 2 lane pavement.

I'll better know when I can break free early that week.

I'll be heading out Friday morning. Thinking I'll take 62N out of Franklin and hit 666E. All pavement but 666 is a fun ride. See you guys there.

I just saw a blue strom in shadyside but it had black hard bags. Dude was riding with a open face helmet and a cig hanging out of his mouth.

I'd be up for a Laurel Highlands ride this Saturday. Will know for sure by Thursday.

Not sure how much I can show you....only been doing this DualSport thing since early April. I've been on both sides of the Turnpike east of 711.

Update on the stolen wee-strom

Got this in from a co-worker's friend: “Saw this bike with this same design turning into Rt. 51 North from Lebanon Church Rd. This was Last night at around 9:30 PM (6/9/14).”

That cloverleaf is very close to where I live, so I'll be extra attentive.

There is another guy located by the airport or slightly north with a blue Wee with Sharks teeth too. I see him often around the Robinson area, I can't remember his screen name.

Maybe we should keep an eye on surrounding craigslists adds.

Thanks guys. I know that the A10 graphics are uncommon, but do duplicate around. My glass half empty side thinks the thing is laying in the woods in a smoldering pile after some teenager took it.

I hope they catch rabid herpes.
