He started 87th and moved all the way up to 42nd thru WP5. But something seems to have slowed him down.

Edit: never mind...everytime I go back to the live timing is shows something different.

He started so far back, he doesn't arrive at the WP's until quite late. When he does, he pops up according to his time and those slower drop behind him. It's confusing because we don't know where he is on the road relative to others. You can't really track his position until he passes a WP.

One thing we know is he is having a strong day and moving up through the pack steadily with a mid 40's pace.

Fighting his way back through the field, I can imagine a blue flash and spray of dust going past each rider and them wondering what the hell it was! Gp Pyn!!!

Impressive stuff! Anyone else wondering what Lyndon could do in a factory effort? Would like to hear his thoughts on the pace of the front runners. :D

Thanks, I checked there before, guess it appeared after I went to bed.

Maybe when it's all over, we'll get to see a picture of it after pyndad chipped off all the metal-epoxy, I'd be interested to see how badly it was cracked where the compression holder mounts.

Agree, impressive patience to give the repair time to set, impressive skill to make back a lot of time and impressive cohones to trust the repair. Glad it worked out and he's still in the race.

I think it's the position at that waypoint, not the whole stage. But I could be wrong. :dunno

He's holding his own nicely inside the top 50 overall. Having a great stage.
