More good vibes about the new car, this time from the testing at Barber. "Overall, things are running really well and the Honda engine has been really good," Rahal told SPEED.com. "The car has a lot of grip and there's still a long way to go. The car's impressive. Over the past couple years, the times I'm running now here are way quicker [based on using similar tires].
The great Sarah Fisher engine controversy is over, just as people were getting themselves worked up into a good lather over it. She'll have what may be best engine of all, the Honda. And it's thanks to Rahal Letterman Lanigan, who gave Fisher their second engine. Not sure if it's generosity, or if Rahal couldn't find a full season sponsor for his second car. Also, this is payback for Sarah helping Graham Rahal in 2010. Great news for the series. Folks are running out of things to get mad about!
You just knew that a team ready to go was not going to sit out. Especially a female owned team. That would have been the final kiss of death.
Good news. Rubens Barrichello signs a two-year deal with KV racing. He joins Kanaan and Viso. IIRC KV had been a pretty crashy outfit. Maybe now they can finish more races.
Oh man, those guy shed parts like my dog sheds hair. I hate to see it too. I've always been a big fan of JV. I hope RB brings them good fortune.
Heard that on the news in that twilight between falling asleep and being awake. Glad to know it wasn't a dream. This excites me, I like Rubens, it will get me to watch IRL a bit this year. I hope he does well.
In so I can find it after the name change. Nice to see Reubens over here, and I'm glad Sarah got the engines she needed. I always felt there was more to her story then I heard. As many have said she was a fan favorite, but always seemed to be missing the right equipment.
Sunday 12:30pm ABC. Can we please change the title of this thread back to IndyCar? 2 reasons. 1/ It's a dumb joke and misleads people. 2/ IRL anything is red meat to certain people. Please.
Damn! this sounds great. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/mJRENtT9oMg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I enjoyed the race, and am pleased that Castroneves won. I looks like Lotus truly is behind on their engine development. I hate to see TK out so early, but as always, he showed class. ABC did a good job with the coverage, and payed proper homage to the late Dan Wheldon. I think my eyes got a little red.
Well let me be the first to bring some reality to this earl koolaid love in I tried and all I can say is thank you Jesus for inventing the DVR as who could actually watch that boring crap live? Only the earl could make a toubocharged OW race car boring. The good news is no one was killed in the name of promoting this poor excuse of racing. Can the freeking cars be any uglier? Add front fenders and we have CanAm 2012: Carry on.
Looks like Chevy is the engine to beat. Nice tribute to Dan Wheldon by Helio when he did his fence climbing act. I ain't gonna lie, I don't like the look of the cars. Maybe they'll grow on me, that happens a lot. I feel sorry for the Lotus drivers, among whom is our favorite, Simona De Silvestro. I wonder how much engine development will go on, given that money is an issue even for the engine builders? Can we please change the name of this thread to IndyCar and remove the last vestige of toxic you-know-what? Please?
