Certainly a few things to come out of it and the provisional entry list - Can Coma continue with 4 out of 4? Will Speedy be there as the no. 2 in the championship race, as he is entered under Speedbrain. HRC were previously only sending Helder, with Javier already being there? What bikes will they be on with Helder going? Will Cyril be there, we know Casselli won't as he got injured in the Baja 500?
I can't confirm it, but it sounds like Kurt might be there. - I read that his wrist injury was not that bad and Patty Moore Blais just wished him "Good luck in Argentina" on his FB page a few hours ago.
I've been seeing conflicting reports on Caselli's wrist injury too. Chavo gets a new bike for this one as he moves from Jolly Racing to an opportunity that opened up with Speedbrain. It's a 480cc kit so he will still be contesting the over 450 class in which he leads the championship standings. He tested it after Abu Dhabi and said it is world's apart from his other bikes as far as maturity in development.
So the Desafio is starting today, good race to see how everyone is preparing for Dakar. Let the times start to flow!!!

They should be running. No timings up on the site yet though. Looks like the liaison of 97.53km kicked off at 06:30 with the first bike (Coma) starting the 371.98km stage at 08:15. Still waiting for the official timing links to kick in.
