Allegheny National Forest. It's closed for winter now, but some of the trails there would probably make for some enjoyable riding for you. They give you a really good map when you buy your permit and the trail-heads have maps at them. Sorry to report ANF will not open again until Memorial Day week-end. If you like dirt roads, head for north eastern Venango County and Forest County.

Does anyone have tracks for Allegheny NF? Not interested in the off road trails you pay for. Just accessible dirt roads/trails.

I live in the middle of the ANF, lots of dirt road riding, good single track riding, if you know the area or local law enforcement. If you need a guide, give me a yell, If you don't mind riding with a KTM Super Enduro.

I'm new to the pittsburgh area and always looking for an adventure. I'm glad someone asked the question cause I've been wondering the same thing, "Are there any trails, dirt roads,... in W PA, and where?" Let me know what you guys find, love to ride!

need to find something off road

Lots of great riding around here. Anything from ADV to hard single track. I'm headed down into WV Friday morning for a couple of days. Plenty of backroads and trails to explore. Should be a great weekend.

Here is a nice loop in the Laurel Mtns. A good mix of gravel, paved and some rocky trails.

Don't forget about us N.E. Ohio riders. I was at ANF last July. What a hoot! I definitely plan on going back at least one time this year.

Here's my precision high detail map of the great riding in PA (though I've found most of them myself... have not seen any good 'ride maps'):

Looking to head up to ANF for some riding over labor day weekend (next weekend). Dad and I are coming up with KLR650 and DRZ400. Have lodging figured out and I created 3 100-miler loops with my garmin but if you have anything more I'd greatly appreciate it!!!

I have the ANF area showing all dirt and paved roads as a .pdf file.. i can send it to you email.
