BMW Cafe Racers - post a pic?

Don't think I'd call that the "nicest" cafe.

Its really not so much a cafe, atleast not even an attempt at a period cafe, much more like an attempt to create a classic version of the modern stretched/fat tire sport bike. You know swingarm further back, fat tire mounted, that thing has huge wheelbase. Chain drive from the transmission output to the shaft, although that picture is kind of hard to see that's how he fit that monsterous sport bike tire on there, and it adds the length. Battery down below the transmission. Shock and custom swing arm. It does make me wonder how it would handle.

Nicest cafe's I've seen are normally the Tritons with all the alloy body work.

What are those pipes? I want short ones like that for my R65

I'll ask him when I see him on this weekends ride but I believe they are just the generic reverse cone pipes that are commonly available. He probably got them from JC Whitney catalog. The worked and sounded great though.

heres my work in progress. Lesters, 2 into 1 "s" bars, san jose front fork brace. new avons, odyssey battery, cables, steering stem bearings, carb clean/rebuild. have a minty toaster tank and chrome side covers i'm thinking of putting on.also ditching the fenders, turn signals, and handlebar controls. in Mo. all you need is a high/low beam switch, horn button and a high beam blue indicator bulb. but first, A SEAT!

Thanks Pezz - Im going or a similar look on my R65 Cafe - K1100 rear wheel and K75S front wheel (3x17 and 2.5x18) 3 spoke mags, polished, with monolever rear end conversion.

There are QUITE a few mods on that machine - noice!

One year in the making and it took me 2 months to get those carbs to fit and work

was the Ducati seat altered much?

8 bikes there and two of them aren't even BMW's:huh
Seat had to be cut all around the front to fit the tank. I got a fram and monoshocked it from a newer bike who's engine I used as well. The wheels are R100R and had to be machined to fit. The front end is K series and oilhead brakes.
