I put a screw-in along swivel on my 10/22 TD, dabbed some JB weld for extra peace of mind. So far so good :-)

Well, the stock came in today, and it is beautiful, except. . .
on the left foregrip there is a 1" x 8" place where two pieces of walnut were laminated together to form the bump for the foregrip, and this is really poorly laminated. Whoever put those pieces of wood together needs glasses, or a seeing eye dog! There is no attempt to match the grain of the wood, the two pieces are different shades of brown, it's sad.
I put a complaint in through Ebay, and I'll see what happens. Hopefully they can and will do an exchange.
Really disappointed.

Sorry about the lack of twatwaffle and cockholster in this rant, I just can't get up the enthusiasm right now.
So Mike sent me another stock, and I sent the nasty one back to him. I spoke to him on the phone, and he said he had noticed the "area" when he packed it for shipping, but didn't consider it a defect.
Anyway, problem solved.

Speaking of .22 rifles that breakdown, I figured my Neos carbine would work just fine. the longer piece, barrel and weaver mount, is 20"

Fitted into a 42" soft rifle case, folded and mounted to the back of the bike for a trip to the range

Going to work on finding a case that fits/looks better

DAMN YOU!

This never occurred to me, and now I really want the Carbine kit.

.22 LR is on the shelves again

at the local Ace Hardware store. Nifty little cans (325 rounds) of Federal ammo, waterproof/weatherproof and packaged in nitrogen for long term storage. The price has gone up from a year ago: $25/can. One can per customer.
Might have to go back tomorrow...
