Bump. Exactly 180 days until I hit the road for the rally, and the KTM is just about ready to go. :rofl

I just secured my cabin reservation. I'm planning to ride in/camp for a number of days and then spend a couple of days enjoying the cabin, fishing, and slounging around town before the rally and possibly some more riding/camping on the return trip home. I'm looking forward to this. :D

    Just a quick update: 3-23-13 http://www.advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=20397519&postcount=145

Spring is almost here in WI and I'm super busy getting everything taken care around home. We may be moving in a few weeks so if you don't hear anything from me through April 15th - that's why. :eek1 It will be great once it's done though.

The CJD CAMP TECH RALLY 2013 in Steamboat is still a "GO" and we are working on stuff behind the scenes to make this as useful to the MOTO camper as we can.

We have some great local companies willing to help and I'll be updating the info as I put it all together. There should be great stuff for all. :clap

In order to be a close part of this event, you will want to get your campsite booked now. We have even worked out a Promo price discount for this event for Tent spots. How can you go wrong??? :freaky

If you are interested in camping near the Tech Area, please contact Amber asap. http://www.steamboatcampground.com/maps.html

We've got some great people in the industry willing to help out with this Mini Rally and answer your bike touring/setup related questions. This is OPEN to ALL riders. If you are new to moto camping/ just picked up a bike this season/ or have been camping for years, I have a good feeling that this event will be worth coming to. I'll have more info in May as I work though the growing details. (sorry for the delay, we are moving our home and shop through the end of April/early May, I will get back with more info once completed.)

This will be a fun time for all those that love 2 wheels! :freaky

My buddies in "The Springs" have been pestering me to get a proper bike and attend....and with a 950 ADV-S in the garage this week, I now have the right of passage. (Fly, buy and ride from Sierra Vista, AZ)

We have several rides and events this year and I am also attending the C600, but I will do my best to attend.

I'd sure love to attend this, ESPECIALLY the CJ Sessions...
But, like last years Colorado plans, it's just not on the financial horizon....:cry

So now I have to buy an orange bike?

Maybe I can just offer a discount to the rally attendees at The Bakery....

    How's that work?

I have a bakery in Steamboat.

    It's called The Bakery.

And I ride different bikes, but don't have any orange ones.

Sometimes my GS gets lost and goes places it shouldn't probably go.

Hey, were you riding your 950? We had just left The Bakery after having a late breakfast at Teledoug's place and saw a single rider go though town.

Yep, the valley in the spring is beautiful and green with the aspens finally in leaf. However, we still had frost this morning, and snow only a week ago. Hopefully we will have rain this summer to keep things green for the September rally! :D
